About

This 2017 Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 is a well-maintained and extensively equipped cruising catamaran, offering an excellent balance of performance, comfort, and autonomy. British-flagged and presented in the popular 3-cabin owner’s layout, she is an ideal platform for private cruising or extended liveaboard use.

Built by Fountaine Pajot and constructed in moulded fibre reinforced plastic, the Lucia 40 is known for its solid build quality, generous beam, and efficient sailing characteristics. This vessel is scheduled to receive new antifouling in 2026 and benefits from consistent servicing, including an engine service completed in June 2025.

On deck, Wanderlust is designed for relaxed Mediterranean cruising, with a fully enclosed cockpit and bimini over the helm station, plus cockpit cushions and generous sunbathing areas, including forward sun pads. The cockpit is further enhanced by Flexiteek decking, cockpit showers, and a BBQ, making her ideal for outdoor living.

Additional Information

Ownership & History

The yacht was originally purchased new by her first owner, who retained ownership for approximately six months. She was then sold to a second owner, who kept the vessel for around 18 months. In 2019, the third owner entered into a joint ownership arrangement with one of the current owners. Until 2019, the yacht sailed in the United Kingdom. In 2023, Wanderlust sailed across the Atlantic and then spent a year in the Caribbean, six months of which were on the hard in Grenada. In May 2025, the boat was shipped to Spain, where it has been based since. The vessel was originally purchased in the United Kingdom, and VAT was originally paid in the UK. She departed the UK in June 2023, post-Brexit. As a result, she is currently in Europe under Temporary Admission status and has not paid EU VAT. The owners are now offering her for sale as one of them already owns another yacht in the UK, and they have decided it is time to begin a new chapter.

We take pride in our happy customers

I chose Zee (Zvonimir Kalinic) after posting an ad for a broker on Yacht Sales from about 15 other brokers because he showed professionalism and care right away compared to the others. Most of the brokers never intended to show people my boat but yet somehow expected to collect commission. Zee met me in Novigrad and spent 3 hours taking photos and drone footage and throughout the listing period was communicating continuously and advising me about any offers that came through. His service was at a high standard that I was extremely happy with and felt comfortable at all times especially since I’m in Sydney and my boat is in Montenegro. I can’t recommend Zee highly enough to anyone looking to sell their boat with peace of mind.

— Mark Eymes

The brokerage team has been amazing. They helped me find the right catamaran for our family of four, with enough space for extended family and friends to stay with us anytime. The broker really helped me narrow down what I needed. I started with a long list and eventually narrowed it down to something that was the right fit and price for me.

— Adam Munder

Our broker Mike Rybas was excellent – great experience!

I cannot speak too highly of Andrew Hodgdon and his colleagues at the Multihull Company.

The process of selling my boat was very smooth and well managed and with excellent communication – especially important as I was unable to be nearby during the sale process. Andrew’s deep knowledge of the market and my boat was very reassuring. We spoke regularly and he kept me closely advised all the way through to a happy sale. I found him a good guy, very helpful, willing to share and bounce ideas around, and I enjoyed working with him. Highly recommended!

— Allan Morrison

Andrew Hodgdon and The Multihull Company are really professional! I just closed a deal with them, and everything was pretty smooth. Andrew was punctual, showed a lot of expertise, and he was honest about all the problems with the boat. He is also giving me the support I need to run all the projects on this boat. This whole process was much better than I was expecting, and I recommend this team! Thank you, Andrew.
