About

Neel 45 - 2015

Rare on the Market in the South Pacific — An Exceptional Opportunity for Offshore Cruising Enthusiasts

Peikea is a stunning Neel 45 trimaran designed by renowned architects Joubert & Nivelt at the very beginning of the Neel adventure. Built in 2015 in La Rochelle by the French shipyard Naval Force 3, she is hull number 12 in the series. Constructed with top-quality materials, she remains in outstanding condition to this day. Her contemporary design and clever layout offer remarkable comfort for life on board.

She has sailed extensively in the Atlantic and the Pacific before being listed for sale in New Zealand in 2020. The current owners acquired her in September 2021 in French Polynesia for a long-term cruising project. Since then, they have lived aboard full-time and sailed over 15,000 nautical miles in the South Pacific, maintaining the boat meticulously and investing heavily in upgrades. As a result, she is now in excellent overall condition, with a brand-new mainsail and standing rigging replaced in July 2025.

Ready to Sail Anywhere

Fully equipped for bluewater cruising:

  • 1,260 W solar panels
  • Lithium battery
  • Watermaker (70 L/h)
  • Coppercoat antifouling (2024–2025), eliminating the need for haul-outs for several years

Performer Under Sail

The Neel 45 is highly regarded for her solid construction and excellent sailing performance. Light and responsive, she sails well even in light winds and can cover 200 nautical miles per day with ease. Over the past four years, she has logged only 255 engine hours for more than 15,000 NM under sail.

  • Cockpit layout includes 2 benches, 2 fixed tables, new high-quality upholstery, and a bimini with side panels for full weather protection

We take pride in our happy customers

The multihull company, specifically Andrew Hodgson worked with me in the sale of Gods Grace, a 50’ Voyage 500. They made sure that as many people as possible touched it, laid hands on it, ultimately resulting in a offer and sale and was extremely helpful in the prep and sale process as I did not live locally… If you want to make sure that people actually see your vessel, will be honest and truly assist you in the sale, Andrew is the man for the job.

Andrew Hodgdon always goes above and beyond. After several transactions I wouldn’t work with anyone else in the industry.

— David Pignolet

Andrew at the Multihull Company was our buyer’s broker and he was excellent to work with. He thoroughly explained the purchase process, and helped with many questions along the way. We would definitely use Andrew and Multihull again to buy and sell catamarans and yachts.
