Manufacturer Provided Description

A SLEEK AND INNOVATIVE DESIGN
With her new visual identity, the 40 immediately stands out. While faithful to the image of Lagoons “DNA”, a new style is born: an individual, streamlined and accomplished design depicts her large portholes and panoramic view. This creates a refined and high-performance unit, emphasized by the chamfer running from the bow to the stern. A new generation Lagoon, recognizable at first sight.

EXTERIOR: SPACE AND COMFORT
– A comfortable cockpit looking out to sea: a starboard dining table, able to accommodate up to twelve guests, a recreation area on the same side and seating at the rear beam.
– An ergonomic helm station accessible from the cockpit or deck, thus enabling communication between the skipper and crew at all times.
– Large aft transoms with a spacious swim platform, allowing simple access to the tender and safe, easy boarding.
– A forward cockpit, fitted with a sunbathing area, provides further living space.

NEW GENERATION RIGGING: PERFORMANCE AND SIMPLICITY
A symbol of the new generation Lagoons, the 40 is endowed with advanced performance features: a VPLP hull structure and an increased sail area provide a better sail surface area / displacement ratio. The decision to position the mast step further aft, which stems directly from VPLP’s experience in competitive sailing, provides this catamaran with multiple advantages:

– A self-tacking jib for simplified maneuvers.
– A large forward triangle for a wider choice of downwind sails: a guarantee of performance.
– A shorter boom for ease of manoeuvring.
– A main sail, with a high aspect ratio, enabling the capture of better airflow in the upper parts of the sail for optimised performance.
– The re-centring of weight, thanks to aft positioning of rigging, considerably reduces pitching.

INTERIOR: ELEGANCE AND LUMINOSITY
– A selection of luxurious materials, by Nauta Design, enhances the new interior lines.
– A wide choice of accommodation layouts to meet the needs of owners and large families: available in three or four cabins.
– A new aft cabin, fitted with a semi Island bed berth and multiple storage space.
– Large hull window glazing with integrated portholes in the cabin provide exceptional natural light and an outstanding view.
Particular attention given to volume layout, smooth flow of circulation and luminosity makes this new interior a truly pleasant living area

    Excellent communication.

    — Nicolas Bergstein

We had a great purchasing experience with The Multihull Company. Got us into the boat we really wanted, our broker Josie was amazing, she walked us through the entire process, negotiated the deal we wanted and gave us great advice throughout. If you are looking to purchase a boat we can’t recommend them enough.

    — Roger Matros

It’s been a few weeks now and the dust has settled. We had a great experience with the Multihull Company and in particular our broker, Caroline Laviolette. Caroline was happy to share her knowledge of the market and the catamarans we were interested in purchasing. She was patient and thorough as we looked at several boats in SE Florida, helped us narrow our search and eventually purchase a beautiful 2017 Lagoon 42. Many thanks to the team at The Multihull Company!

    — Carl Anderson

We had a great experience purchasing our boat with Will Miller as a buyers agent. Purchasing our first large Cat is a daunting experience and Will was able to walk us through the process with ease. Will was very straight forward and constantly gave us honest feedback as well as finding and pointing out details on all the boats that we may not have noticed or thought about.

We had a great experience and would use them again.

I would specifically recommend a buyers agent when purchasing to help weed through a lot of problems and misrepresented boats on the market.

    — Anthony Nappa

We have had great experiences with the Multihull company. We both sold our old boat through them, and bought our new boat through them. I have to say that Will Miller is top-notch, and Riley was great as our broker for selling our O day 39. when you buy a Salt or Boat through them, I feel like you are not only clients, but you are friends. The lines of communication were always open and we were always informed of everything going on.
