OBELIX is a highly upgraded 2008 Nautitech 44, 3 cabins Owner Version, extensively prepared and continuously improved for serious bluewater cruising with the exclusive finish: teak abounds, Alcantara seats. From the drawing board of the firm of naval architects Mortain and Mavrikios guarantees that excellent performance can be expected along with seagoing qualities whatever the conditions.
She has been prepared in France in 2021 for long passage by the second owners.
- Remove engines for a complete overhaul and new paint.
- Replace the standing rigging.
Since then, further upgrades included new square top mainsail in 2024, new lazybag and new trampoline in 2024, Starlink comes now to complete the onboard communication setup. Her autonomy significantly increased and liveaboard capabilities with the installation of a 1,275W bifacial solar array.
The current owners purchased her in 2025.
Completed upgrades include:
- New Victron electrical system (2026) with 2 new alternators.
- Addition of 900Ah of lithium house batteries (2025/2026) and engine batteries (2026)
- Replacement of the compressor and condenser to the main fridge & 2 new 65L chest freezer/fridges (convertible) for additional cool storage capacity.
- New Raymarine Axiom 9 (2025) plotter at the port helm station & Raymarine Quantum radar (2026)
- Replacement of the bridle, anchor and chain.
French Polynesia Import taxes have been paid. The boat can stay in French Polynesia without any limit.
