The future of high-performance cruising has arrived. Here at The Multihull Company, we have been eagerly anticipating the newest masterpiece from Nautitech Catamarans, and we know our community of sailors has been too.
We are thrilled to bring you an exclusive, inside-look at the vessel that is redefining agile sailing in the 40-foot class.
Recently, The Multihull Company CEO, Will Miller, sat down with Maya Gautier, the Sales Director of Nautitech Catamarans, for a fascinating one-on-one conversation. Maya shared exclusive insights into the design philosophy, the standard-setting features, and most importantly, the release timeline for the highly anticipated Nautitech 41 Type S.
Whether you’re a blue-water veteran or planning your first major crossing, you won’t want to miss what they had to say about the ” manifesto of freedom” known as the Type S.
In this dynamic interview, Will and Maya dive deep into what makes Nautitech unique and what specific advancements have been made in the 41 Type S.
Maya explains that the “S” is not merely an aesthetic update—it stands for Sport, Sensation, and Sailing. This model, the successor to the beloved 40 Open, was designed specifically for the sailor who does not want to compromise on performance while maintaining true blue-water comfort. It features a re-optimized hull structure and refined material choices that result in a light displacement of just 9 tons, ensuring remarkable responsiveness in light winds.
The design—a collaboration between Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group and interior designer Christophe Chedal Anglay—reinvents indoor-outdoor living flow. Maya highlights the new panoramic 360° views in the saloon and modular interior options that adapt to your journey.
The most exciting news for our US community comes with the official announcement that a Nautitech 41 Type S is officially on order and will arrive in the United States in October of 2026.
The Multihull Company has secured a hull, which is scheduled to be delivered directly to our specialized docks in Charleston, South Carolina, before the end of the year. This provides an exclusive opportunity for American buyers to see, feel, and sea trial this revolutionary catamaran on home waters without international travel.

Due to the limited production run for the 2026 season, hull availability is already extremely competitive. If you are considering a vessel that bridges the gap between fast cruising and luxurious liveability, we urge you to act now.

A sale well handled. No inflated expectations and an honest opinion throughout. Highly recommended.
Absolutely THE ONLY company to use for buying or selling a catamaran! Our Broker Andrew Hodgdon, was excellent to work with, an experienced catamaran captain with extensive knowledge of sailing catamarans, the ins and outs of the construction, performance, systems, everything involved and life on board catamarans. All of which is invaluable in looking for the right boat for someone to buy or helping market your boat when selling. The Multihull Company is so connected in the catamaran world and used by so many catamaran sailors and searchers that we had an interested buyer before our boat was even listed and a completed sale 60 days after her first showing!!! Thanks Andrew and all of the Multihull team who worked diligently to make it happen so smoothly!
We had a great experience working with Andrew! He was extremely knowledgeable and listened to our needs of what we wanted our next boat to be. He responded quickly to all of our requests and got us to the finish line. Working with Multihull was seamless and we highly recommend using Andrew and Multihull.
Chris Block was our broker. He was great. He went above and beyond what we thought we needed. His expertise helped us get our dream boat for way less than expected. I will use TMC and Chris Block in the future. Definitely recommend.
Chris Rundlett in Grenada was my buyers broker for a catamaran I purchased in Tortola.
The buying process was problematic with numerous mechanical issues needing attention. Throughout the process he was fantastic. I would highly recommend him if you’re looking to buy a boat in the Caribbean.
