2008 Lagoon 500 - 5 Cabin Version - 2020/2025 Refitted - Available now
This 2008 Lagoon 500 is a well-regarded 5-cabin version, constructed with vacuum-bagged FRP using balsa and honeycomb composite coring, resulting in a strong and lightweight structure. The boat is exceptionally stable, it performs excellently in rough seas, and with 20 knots of wind, it easily reaches 10 knots of speed.
The 2008 Lagoon 500 offers an abundance of space both inside and out, with a vast salon, one of the largest in its class, that comfortably accommodates 10 people around the table. The spacious cockpit is perfect for social gatherings, while the foredeck features lounges and seating areas.
On the flybridge, there is additional seating for 6, making this catamaran ideal for entertaining and relaxation. Accommodation includes four double cabins with queen-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms, a fifth cabin with bunk beds and its own head and shower, and a separate forepeak skipper’s cabin on the port side. Altogether, it can sleep up to 12 people.
This catamaran has never been offered for bareboat charter and has always been maintained and operated by a professional skipper and crew.
Key Features & Refit
The boat has a modern appearance and is fully equipped with all contemporary systems for comfort and autonomy. It features two quick and effective engines, a powerful generator, air conditioning in every cabin and in the salon, a 200 l/h water maker, multiple fridges and a freezer, a dishwasher, an ice maker, and a freshwater filtration system. The solar panels and the 1200 Ah gel service batteries provide reliable capacity for autonomous operation. All cabins, the saloon, and the galley were completely refurbished. Modern Hi-Fi and TV systems contribute for the entertainment on board. The yacht is also offered with a large 3,8 meter RIB and a 15 hp outboard engine, both completely serviced for the new season.
After 2020, the catamaran underwent a complete refit and continuous upgrades up to 2026. The most significant improvements include the new Yanmar turbo-diesel engines with intercoolers and common-rail injection, installed in 2020, as well as the new SP60 sail drives installed in 2022. Both sails were replaced in 2021, and the bimini and lazy bag, along with all outside cushions and sun beds, were renewed in 2024. A full replacement of the mast rig was carried out in 2021, including all running rigging. The original Delta anchor was replaced in 2023 with the much more advanced Mantus M2. The generator, water maker, and air-conditioning system underwent major overhauls in 2024 and 2025.
Extensive improvements have also been made to the interior and its equipment, in the cabins and bathrooms, as well as the salon and galley, and upgrades have been made to the exterior functionality, mechanical systems, and navigation electronics. These upgrades give the yacht a modern appearance and ensure flawless operation of all systems. The vessel is fully prepared for sailing, with only cosmetic signs of use.
The yacht is professionally serviced every year, including antifouling, anodes replacement, servicing of saildrives, engines, and generator, windlass servicing, sails washing and storage, hull waxing and polishing, and full maintenance and storage of the tender and outboard. It is stored on land every winter.
