About

Highly upgraded 2007 Lagoon 500 configured for serious cruising diving, and off-grid living!

  •  2100Ah LiFePo4 house bank
  •  2.5kW solar array,
  • New Yanmar 4JH57 engine w/ upgraded saildrives
  • Professionally engineered transom extension increasing LOA to over 52 feet.

This 2007 Lagoon 500 represents an exceptionally upgraded and thoughtfully engineered cruising catamaran, designed for serious offshore capability, diving operations, and extended off-grid living. Over the past several years the vessel has undergone extensive mechanical, electrical, and structural upgrades, transforming it into a highly capable platform for long-range cruising, charter operations, or private family adventures.

The boat features a massively upgraded electrical and energy system, centered around a 2,100Ah lithium battery bank (UL approved), approximately 2.5kW of solar generation, and three Victron inverter/chargers, allowing the vessel to comfortably run multiple air-conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and onboard equipment with minimal generator use. Combined with high-output engine charging and an 8kW Northern Lights generator, the system provides exceptional energy independence and redundancy rarely found on vessels in this class.

Mechanically, the vessel benefits from major recent servicing and drivetrain upgrades, including a 2026 Yanmar 4JH57 common-rail diesel with only ~50 hours, upgraded Yanmar SD-60 saildrives, and meticulous preventative service across the propulsion systems. The generator, rigging, air conditioning, and many onboard systems have also been renewed or upgraded, creating a boat that is both reliable and easy to maintain while underway.

A professionally engineered transom extension increases LOA to over 52 feet and dramatically improves the boat’s functionality. The enlarged sugar scoops provide safer dinghy access, improved water entry for diving, reduced pitching underway, and additional working space for fishing or watersports. Combined with a custom dive ladder and extensive scuba infrastructure—including an onboard compressor, tank storage, and organized gear systems—the vessel is uniquely suited for serious diving expeditions.

Additional highlights include a custom oversized flybridge bimini capable of shading seating for 10+ adults, extensive refrigeration and ice-making capacity for large groups, a flexible 5-cabin / 5-head layout, and numerous thoughtful upgrades throughout the interior and exterior spaces. The result is a rare offering: a fully outfitted, energy-independent Lagoon 500 that has been meticulously upgraded for comfort, safety, and real-world offshore cruising.

We take pride in our happy customers

I chose Zee (Zvonimir Kalinic) after posting an ad for a broker on Yacht Sales from about 15 other brokers because he showed professionalism and care right away compared to the others. Most of the brokers never intended to show people my boat but yet somehow expected to collect commission. Zee met me in Novigrad and spent 3 hours taking photos and drone footage and throughout the listing period was communicating continuously and advising me about any offers that came through. His service was at a high standard that I was extremely happy with and felt comfortable at all times especially since I’m in Sydney and my boat is in Montenegro. I can’t recommend Zee highly enough to anyone looking to sell their boat with peace of mind.

— Mark Eymes

The brokerage team has been amazing. They helped me find the right catamaran for our family of four, with enough space for extended family and friends to stay with us anytime. The broker really helped me narrow down what I needed. I started with a long list and eventually narrowed it down to something that was the right fit and price for me.

— Adam Munder

Our broker Mike Rybas was excellent – great experience!

— Chris Hannant

I cannot speak too highly of Andrew Hodgdon and his colleagues at the Multihull Company.

The process of selling my boat was very smooth and well managed and with excellent communication – especially important as I was unable to be nearby during the sale process. Andrew’s deep knowledge of the market and my boat was very reassuring. We spoke regularly and he kept me closely advised all the way through to a happy sale. I found him a good guy, very helpful, willing to share and bounce ideas around, and I enjoyed working with him. Highly recommended!

— Allan Morrison

Andrew Hodgdon and The Multihull Company are really professional! I just closed a deal with them, and everything was pretty smooth. Andrew was punctual, showed a lot of expertise, and he was honest about all the problems with the boat. He is also giving me the support I need to run all the projects on this boat. This whole process was much better than I was expecting, and I recommend this team! Thank you, Andrew.
