About

Lagoon 42 2020 - EU VAT Paid

Located on south coast of Portugal. Ideal launching point for Mediterranean, Atlantic, and blue water cruising.

This Lagoon 42 is meticulously maintained and in perfect condition!  An absolute top-class yacht equipped with everything you need to sail in comfort and style. The spacious and generous areas are ideal for family sailing and for inviting friends along. The execution of this owner’s version consists of 3 double bed cabins, each with its own private head. The master cabin is located in the starboard pontoon with an airy sleeping section and plenty of light from windows all around. Directly adjacent is a storage and office area where the washing machine is located. In the forward end of the pontoon is the head with an electric toilet, washing basin, a separate shower and again, plenty of storage space. The other two cabins are located at each end of the port side pontoon. Both with good storage and adjacent head.

A small staircase from each pontoon leads up to the central grand salon. Once again, a space filled with light from the surrounding large windows on the sides and facing the front of the boat and the large sliding glass doors leading out to the aft deck. The saloon accommodates a large comfortable sofa group, navigation area, and the galley. In the galley you will find a 3-burner gas stove and oven, a fridge, a freezer and spacious cabinets for storage. From the grand salon, the sliding glass doors lead out to the aft deck where you find several relaxing seating areas and a sofa seating up to 6 people with a fixed table and a fridge for cold drinks. The aft deck floor is updated with Flexiteek that is both durable and easy to maintain. The whole aft deck is covered with a fixed hard top roof and can be fully enclosed with covers on all sides. Also located by the aft deck are the davits for hoisting and securely holding the dinghy when not used. Above the davits are the 1050W solar panels that also cover and protect the dinghy.

The steering cockpit is elevated and connected to the aft deck and can be fully enclosed with protecting see through covers all around. Whether enclosed or open, visibility is excellent, and you have a view of the entire boat while sailing and maneuvering it. From the steering cockpit you can access the hardtop roof over the aft deck for physical access to the boom and mast. In the front there is the classic catamaran trampoline between the pontoons for safety, relaxing and sunbathing.

S/Y Kairos 1 has only had two owners and has only been sailed privately. The boat was delivered to the first owner in September 2020 in La Rochelle, France. Shortly after, they crossed the Atlantic and set sail for Martinique. New to sailing and being a first-time owner of a sailing boat, they soon realized that they preferred a motor yacht. In the summer 2021 the boat was set up for sale in Martinique and this is where the second owner purchased the boat that summer. Despite the COVID restrictions at the time, they cruised the Caribbean islands and then crossed the Atlantic back to Europe in the spring of 2022, arriving in Lagos in June.

The following year the current owners stayed as liveaboards on S/Y Kairos 1 in the Lagos marina with only shorter cruises along the Atlantic coast of Spain and Portugal. In April 2023, they sailed into the Med and cruised the Balearics and wintered in the Med. After another summer season cruising the Balearics, they returned to Lagos in the fall 2024. Besides some shorter sailing trips to Rota, Culantra and Ferragudo, S/Y Kairos 1 has been moored in Lagos marina. The current owners have decided to stay in Lagos, but on land, and have bought a new home there which is why S/Y Kairos 1 now is up for sale. The contract for the berth in the Lagos marina is signed until June 2026 and it could be possible for a new owner to take over the contract.

Do not hesitate to contact us at Looma4Yachts if you would like more information about the boat or to schedule a viewing of the boat. Lagos is located 45 minutes west of Faro airport with several bus- and train connections to Lagos train- and bus stations, both within a few minutes’ walk from the marina.

We take pride in our happy customers

The brokerage team has been amazing. They helped me find the right catamaran for our family of four, with enough space for extended family and friends to stay with us anytime. The broker really helped me narrow down what I needed. I started with a long list and eventually narrowed it down to something that was the right fit and price for me.

— Adam Munder

Our broker Mike Rybas was excellent – great experience!

I cannot speak too highly of Andrew Hodgdon and his colleagues at the Multihull Company.

The process of selling my boat was very smooth and well managed and with excellent communication – especially important as I was unable to be nearby during the sale process. Andrew’s deep knowledge of the market and my boat was very reassuring. We spoke regularly and he kept me closely advised all the way through to a happy sale. I found him a good guy, very helpful, willing to share and bounce ideas around, and I enjoyed working with him. Highly recommended!

— Allan Morrison

Andrew Hodgdon and The Multihull Company are really professional! I just closed a deal with them, and everything was pretty smooth. Andrew was punctual, showed a lot of expertise, and he was honest about all the problems with the boat. He is also giving me the support I need to run all the projects on this boat. This whole process was much better than I was expecting, and I recommend this team! Thank you, Andrew.

— Gustavo Machado

The multihull company, specifically Andrew Hodgson worked with me in the sale of Gods Grace, a 50’ Voyage 500. They made sure that as many people as possible touched it, laid hands on it, ultimately resulting in a offer and sale and was extremely helpful in the prep and sale process as I did not live locally… If you want to make sure that people actually see your vessel, will be honest and truly assist you in the sale, Andrew is the man for the job.
