Coastal Cat | 2006 Voyager V1040

North Beach, MD, US

About

1167 Hours on Twin Yanmar 190hp.  Voyager 1040 (34 feet), flybridge catamaran. In a class of her own!- compare to PDQ and Endeavour.  Extremely nice layout and high build quality, fuel efficient but with lots of extra power when needed!  With a 2'4" draft and the outstanding stability a power cat provides, she is a perfect size for cruising the Chesapeake - or a trip to the Bahamas or even the Loop! Twin Yanmar 190 HP turbocharged engines will push her comfortably at 15-17 kts for miles at a time and peak out around 20+ kts.
NEW CANVAS 2024
This power cat was designed and built in Australia, so she is very solidly built and utilitarian. Her interior finish is clean with some nice varnished wood touches. The layout features two cabins forward with doubles that can be converted to a king size, beam to beam bed by removing a removable center-line separation. A crew berth to port and a bathroom to starboard with electric toilet and shower stall round out the accommodation. She can sleep 5 comfortably for a week's adventure and is perfect for 2 or 3 persons cruising longer term.

The salon can can seat 6 and the galley includes double sink, front loading fridge, 2 burner gas cooktop and oven. There is an additional top-loading fridge and freezer in the cockpit as well as a sink.

  • Cockpit: A large, open aft deck area perfect for entertaining, with integrated storage and sometimes features like a freezer or ice box.

Why It's Popular

  • Spaciousness: The catamaran design provides significantly more interior and deck living space than a comparable monohull.
  • Stability: The twin hulls reduce rolling, providing a much more stable and comfortable ride in various sea conditions.
  • Efficiency: Twin-engine setups offer redundancy and efficient operation for coastal cruising.
  • Family-Friendly: The ability to accommodate multiple guests and provide separate living spaces makes it ideal for family holidays or group charters.

We take pride in our happy customers

Our broker Mike Rybas was excellent – great experience!

— Chris Hannant

I cannot speak too highly of Andrew Hodgdon and his colleagues at the Multihull Company.

The process of selling my boat was very smooth and well managed and with excellent communication – especially important as I was unable to be nearby during the sale process. Andrew’s deep knowledge of the market and my boat was very reassuring. We spoke regularly and he kept me closely advised all the way through to a happy sale. I found him a good guy, very helpful, willing to share and bounce ideas around, and I enjoyed working with him. Highly recommended!

— Allan Morrison

Andrew Hodgdon and The Multihull Company are really professional! I just closed a deal with them, and everything was pretty smooth. Andrew was punctual, showed a lot of expertise, and he was honest about all the problems with the boat. He is also giving me the support I need to run all the projects on this boat. This whole process was much better than I was expecting, and I recommend this team! Thank you, Andrew.

— Gustavo Machado

The multihull company, specifically Andrew Hodgson worked with me in the sale of Gods Grace, a 50’ Voyage 500. They made sure that as many people as possible touched it, laid hands on it, ultimately resulting in a offer and sale and was extremely helpful in the prep and sale process as I did not live locally… If you want to make sure that people actually see your vessel, will be honest and truly assist you in the sale, Andrew is the man for the job.

— Neal Monacelli

Andrew Hodgdon always goes above and beyond. After several transactions I wouldn’t work with anyone else in the industry.
