PRICE REDUCTION! 2007 St. Francis 50 Atlas
See this yacht at the Annapolis Boat Show in October!(Currently in the Chesapeake and available for showing to serious inquiries)
Atlas is a beautifully maintained, superbly equipped, and proven example of the renowned St. Francis 50one of the most respected bluewater cruising catamarans ever built.
Canadian-flagged and duty-paid in New Zealand, Atlas has sailed over 25,000 nautical miles in the last three years and is fully outfitted for long-range, off-grid voyaging. Her current ownersan experienced cruising familyhave sailed her across the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, from New Zealand to Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Atlas is a true global cruiser with a track record to match and now she's ready for her next owners and her next adventure.
Built in 2007 by St. Francis Marine in South Africa, this St. Francis 50 was awarded Cruising Worlds Cruising Catamaran of the Year for its blend of strength, performance, and livability. The model is still in production today (as the St. Francis 500), using the same original hull moldtestament to its enduring design and seaworthiness.
Atlas features a 4-cabin, 3-head, galley-down layout finished in elegant cherry wood, which was fully refinished in 2019. Like all St. Francis 50s, shes a semi-custom build constructed using vacuum-infused vinylester/epoxy resin and Corecell foam core, with CE Category A (Ocean) certification. The build quality, attention to detail, and structural integrity set her apart from production catamarans in this size range.
Designed for offshore sailing, the St. Francis 50 offers excellent upwind sailing ability, a comfortable motion at sea, and fast, efficient passagemaking thanks to her 50 feet of waterline length, high bridgedeck clearance, and thoughtful weight distribution. The engines and saildrives (new in 2020) are positioned well forward, keeping the bows light and weight centralizedfactors that enhance both performance and comfort offshore.
Atlas boasts high tankage with ~230 gallons of fuel and ~360 gallons of water, vast storage, and a protected center-cockpit helm that is ideal for shorthanded sailing. Her systems and layout are optimized for autonomy and comfort, whether on passage or at anchor.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a turn-key, beautifully maintained, ocean-ready catamaran with a stellar cruising history and all the systems in place for serious voyaging. Shes ideal for a cruising couple or family looking to explore local waters, the Caribbean, or set off on a global adventure. If you're looking for a safe, proven, and well-built vessel that performs offshore and lives well on anchor, you owe it to yourself to consider Atlas.

We had a great purchasing experience with The Multihull Company. Got us into the boat we really wanted, our broker Josie was amazing, she walked us through the entire process, negotiated the deal we wanted and gave us great advice throughout. If you are looking to purchase a boat we can’t recommend them enough.
It’s been a few weeks now and the dust has settled. We had a great experience with the Multihull Company and in particular our broker, Caroline Laviolette. Caroline was happy to share her knowledge of the market and the catamarans we were interested in purchasing. She was patient and thorough as we looked at several boats in SE Florida, helped us narrow our search and eventually purchase a beautiful 2017 Lagoon 42. Many thanks to the team at The Multihull Company!
We had a great experience purchasing our boat with Will Miller as a buyers agent. Purchasing our first large Cat is a daunting experience and Will was able to walk us through the process with ease. Will was very straight forward and constantly gave us honest feedback as well as finding and pointing out details on all the boats that we may not have noticed or thought about.
We had a great experience and would use them again.
I would specifically recommend a buyers agent when purchasing to help weed through a lot of problems and misrepresented boats on the market.
We have had great experiences with the Multihull company. We both sold our old boat through them, and bought our new boat through them. I have to say that Will Miller is top-notch, and Riley was great as our broker for selling our O day 39. when you buy a Salt or Boat through them, I feel like you are not only clients, but you are friends. The lines of communication were always open and we were always informed of everything going on.
Successful relationships cannot exist without it. At The Multihull Company we base every relationship on a firm commitment to earning and retaining our client’s trust.
Advice of any kind is valuable only when grounded in hard-won expertise. It too, must be trustworthy. Trust and expertise define the heart and soul of The Multihull Company. We are a team of skilled professionals who thrive on providing expert, trustworthy advice and service to catamaran and trimaran sailors around the globe.
