About

Lagoon 42 Owner's Version (2022) — one family owner from new, never chartered, fitted out for long spells at anchor

LOCURA is a 2022 Lagoon 42 in the three-cabin, three-head Owner's Version, delivered new through Ancasta in Hamble in May 2022 and owned by the same family since. She has sailed three to four months each summer and has never been chartered. Wintered in Valencia, Rimini, Taranto and Aigio, she now lies afloat at Porto degli Argonauti in southern Italy, fresh from her 2025/26 winter maintenance.

She was specified for long spells away from the dock: 2,000 W of SunPower solar, a 1,400 Ah lithium bank and 6 kW of Victron inverters (all installed by Keto Ltd), backed by an 11 kVA Cummins Onan generator, a Dessalator 60 l/h watermaker plus a 2026 Rainman 140 l/h portable unit, 48,000 BTU of air conditioning across four units, Starlink and a full-size washer/dryer. Generous fridge, freezer and dry-stores capacity lets her carry several months of supplies. The upgraded Alpine White Oak interior is finished with LED accent lighting.

Sail handling suits short-handed cruising: square-top mainsail, self-tacking jib and a laminate Code 0 on an FX4500+ furler, with an electric Harken winch at the helm. The owner reports she is easy to sail single-handed from the helm station and that docking is a straightforward two-person job. The B&G package covers a Zeus 3S 12" chartplotter, Halo20+ radar, ForwardScan sonar, AIS, DSC VHF with a second handset at the helm and a NAC-3 autopilot. Twin 57 hp Yanmar diesels on saildrives with folding propellers show 857 hours each and were serviced in March 2026; two full Yanmar service kits come with the boat.

Sold with a Highfield CL340 RIB and 20 hp Honda on stainless davits, Rocna 33 anchor with 100 m of chain, rigid bimini, paddleboards, kayak, a comprehensive Ocean Safety inventory and an extensive stock of spares and tools. Service records available. UK SSR registered. EU VAT not paid.

I would go through them again in a future purchase.

The Multihull Company made the process of buying our boat easy and predictable. Both our agent (Francisco Montaner) and Andrew Holland communicated well and educated/informed us of each step in the process. I highly recommend The Multihull Company for those shopping for a catamaran!

— Jeffrey Bredeson

Chuck at The Multihull Company is the real deal.
He helped us find our Lagoon 40 after genuinely listening to what we needed, not just what he had to sell. He let us visit the boat multiple times, answered every question honestly, and helped us make a confident decision on a major purchase.
What impressed us most was the post-sale support. Once the paperwork was signed, Chuck was still picking up the phone, offering referrals, and helping us work through the early stages of liveaboard life. That kind of follow-through is rare.
If you are looking for a multihull and want someone who knows the boats and actually cares about the outcome, Chuck is the person to call.

— Richard Chandler

We just purchased a 2025 Nautitech 44 Open with The Multihull Company. The process of getting here has been great, and we could not have asked for a better agent. We worked with Conor, whom we met at the 2025 Cannes Boat Show. We started our search for a cruising catamaran in Florida at the beginning of the year. We spent a couple of months looking at different boats/models within our price range and quickly narrowed it down to what really mattered to us, in part thanks to the wealth of knowledge and expertise our broker provided. When we found a perfect match in Montenegro, Conor and The Multihull Company did not hesitate to continue supporting us and to lead the efforts from start to finish with great care and transparency. Communication and support have been outstanding throughout this entire process. Conor, in particular, showed great compassion and care, going above and beyond to ensure that no stone was left unturned and that we would be able to safely and happily sail off into our big adventure.
