Lagoon 42

4 Cabin/ 4 heads
Offered here is a well-found Lagoon 42 catamaran, built in 2017 and maintained to a high standard throughout her life by a single, experienced owner. She has completed a full bluewater programme including an Atlantic crossing in late 2025, arriving in the Caribbean where she is currently cruising. The vessel carries CE Category A (Ocean) certification and is in good condition throughout.
In preparation for the Atlantic passage, the owner undertook a thorough and costly refit in early 2025. The electrical installation was rebuilt from the ground up, with a 1,120 Ah LiFePO4 battery bank, 1.5 kW of solar with Victron management, and a full complement of Victron monitoring. A 70-litre-per-hour watermaker was fitted alongside a UV drinking water filter. The galley was upgraded with a gas and induction combination hob, Ninja multifunction oven, and a Dometic refrigerator and freezer arrangement. Three electric heads were installed, the saloon cushions were reupholstered, and a new trampoline fitted. Navigation equipment was updated to include an Orca Core2 system and Fusion Bluetooth audio. The ground tackle was renewed with 75 metres of stainless chain and a 33 kg stainless anchor.
The twin Yanmar 4JH57 engines, each producing 57 hp via saildrive, have accumulated approximately 3,300 hours. They are due for a full service during a planned haul-out in Trinidad in mid-August 2026, at which time new antifouling will also be applied. The vessel will remain in Trinidad until November 2026, and delivery to Europe can be arranged. The diesel generator, a Whisperpower M-GV2 4.3 kW unit, had a replacement engine fitted in 2024 and has accumulated approximately 180 hours on that block.
The sail inventory is comprehensive. The working canvas comprises a full-batten mainsail of 55 square metres and a self-tacking roller-reefing jib of 35 square metres. Downwind options are strong: a 110 square metre Quantum furling gennaker on a Profurl Next Topdown furler, and a 156 square metre Istec Parasailor with retrieval sleeve. There are three manual winches and one electric. Steering is by twin wheels.
Accommodation is arranged over four cabins with eight berths and four heads. Air conditioning with heating is fitted throughout. The tender is a Highfield CL 340 driven by a 2021 Yamaha 25 hp outboard, stowed on davits.

BROKER'S SUMMARY
The Lagoon 42 remains one of the more practical and resaleable catamarans in its size range. This example is better prepared than most at the asking price. A substantial refit investment in 2025, largely directed at the electrical and domestic systems, means the next owner inherits a vessel that is genuinely ready for offshore work without the need for immediate capital expenditure. Those seeking a vessel ready to cross an ocean would do well to inspect her.
Note on EU VAT paid status - in order to maintain the VAT paid status the sale of the boat would need to take place within the customs territory of the EU.

Great Service, Great People
Helped me through the process.
I would go through them again in a future purchase.
The Multihull Company made the process of buying our boat easy and predictable. Both our agent (Francisco Montaner) and Andrew Holland communicated well and educated/informed us of each step in the process. I highly recommend The Multihull Company for those shopping for a catamaran!
Chuck at The Multihull Company is the real deal.
He helped us find our Lagoon 40 after genuinely listening to what we needed, not just what he had to sell. He let us visit the boat multiple times, answered every question honestly, and helped us make a confident decision on a major purchase.
What impressed us most was the post-sale support. Once the paperwork was signed, Chuck was still picking up the phone, offering referrals, and helping us work through the early stages of liveaboard life. That kind of follow-through is rare.
If you are looking for a multihull and want someone who knows the boats and actually cares about the outcome, Chuck is the person to call.
We just purchased a 2025 Nautitech 44 Open with The Multihull Company. The process of getting here has been great, and we could not have asked for a better agent. We worked with Conor, whom we met at the 2025 Cannes Boat Show. We started our search for a cruising catamaran in Florida at the beginning of the year. We spent a couple of months looking at different boats/models within our price range and quickly narrowed it down to what really mattered to us, in part thanks to the wealth of knowledge and expertise our broker provided. When we found a perfect match in Montenegro, Conor and The Multihull Company did not hesitate to continue supporting us and to lead the efforts from start to finish with great care and transparency. Communication and support have been outstanding throughout this entire process. Conor, in particular, showed great compassion and care, going above and beyond to ensure that no stone was left unturned and that we would be able to safely and happily sail off into our big adventure.
A sale well handled. No inflated expectations and an honest opinion throughout. Highly recommended.
