About

Lagoon 39 (2013) – 4 Double Cabins / 2 Bathrooms – “Alvoco”

This Lagoon 39 benefits from a unique and reassuring history, having had only two owners since new. The first owner used the vessel for river cruising on the Douro in Portugal, meaning the boat saw no sailing use during its early years. The current owner, who acquired the boat in 2020, has since undertaken a comprehensive refit between 2023 and 2024, followed by consistent and meticulous maintenance. As a result, the boat is now well prepared for blue water cruising and comfortable long-term liveaboard use.

Autonomy & Energy Systems
Alvoco has been upgraded to deliver autonomy for offshore cruising. A 1720W solar array installed in 2023, with each panel supported by its own MPPT controller, ensures efficient and reliable energy production. The system is backed by a 640Ah battery bank (2024) and a 2kW Victron inverter (2024). Water independence is ensured by a Schenker Zen 30 watermaker (2024), while a Honda 2.2kW generator provides additional charging capacity when needed, making the vessel highly capable for extended off-grid living.

Electronics & Communication
The navigation suite is modern and complete, featuring full Raymarine electronics including a 12-inch chartplotter, radar, and AIS. Offshore communication and safety are reinforced by a Garmin InReach emergency messaging system, peace of mind on long passages.

Sails & Deck Equipment
The sail inventory is well maintained and thoughtfully upgraded. The mainsail and genoa have been in use only since 2020 and remain in good condition. A recent Code D gennaker (2023) enhances light wind performance, while a twin headsail configuration added in 2024 allows efficient downwind sailing. Running rigging has been upgraded to Dyneema, with key elements renewed including the mainsail halyard (2020, with spare onboard) and first reef line (2025). A new lazy bag (2026) completes a good sail handling setup.

Dinghy, Safety & Deck Gear
The vessel is fully equipped for offshore cruising with up-to-date safety gear, including two EPIRBs and a 10-person liferaft. The dinghy is a robust Whaly 2.7m tender paired with a Mercury 9.9HP outboard (2025). Additional equipment such as fishing rods, a Cobb BBQ, pressure washer, and a large inventory of spare parts make the boat ready for extended cruising.

Interior & Liveaboard Comfort
Configured with 4 double cabins and 2 bathrooms, the layout is both practical and comfortable. The forward cabins are fitted with mattresses, making them usable sleeping spaces.

Engines & Mechanical
The engines have been maintained to a high standard. Major works include exhaust elbow replacement (2023), diaphragm and seal replacements (2023), heat exchanger servicing (2022), and installation of new water pumps (2025). Routine maintenance such as belts, saildrive seals and zincs (April 2026), and regular servicing of impellers, filters, and oils (latest September 2025) have all been completed. Antifouling is up to date as of April 2026, ensuring the vessel is ready to sail.

We take pride in our happy customers

Chuck at The Multihull Company is the real deal.
He helped us find our Lagoon 40 after genuinely listening to what we needed, not just what he had to sell. He let us visit the boat multiple times, answered every question honestly, and helped us make a confident decision on a major purchase.
What impressed us most was the post-sale support. Once the paperwork was signed, Chuck was still picking up the phone, offering referrals, and helping us work through the early stages of liveaboard life. That kind of follow-through is rare.
If you are looking for a multihull and want someone who knows the boats and actually cares about the outcome, Chuck is the person to call.

We just purchased a 2025 Nautitech 44 Open with The Multihull Company. The process of getting here has been great, and we could not have asked for a better agent. We worked with Conor, whom we met at the 2025 Cannes Boat Show. We started our search for a cruising catamaran in Florida at the beginning of the year. We spent a couple of months looking at different boats/models within our price range and quickly narrowed it down to what really mattered to us, in part thanks to the wealth of knowledge and expertise our broker provided. When we found a perfect match in Montenegro, Conor and The Multihull Company did not hesitate to continue supporting us and to lead the efforts from start to finish with great care and transparency. Communication and support have been outstanding throughout this entire process. Conor, in particular, showed great compassion and care, going above and beyond to ensure that no stone was left unturned and that we would be able to safely and happily sail off into our big adventure.

A sale well handled. No inflated expectations and an honest opinion throughout. Highly recommended.

Absolutely THE ONLY company to use for buying or selling a catamaran! Our Broker Andrew Hodgdon, was excellent to work with, an experienced catamaran captain with extensive knowledge of sailing catamarans, the ins and outs of the construction, performance, systems, everything involved and life on board catamarans. All of which is invaluable in looking for the right boat for someone to buy or helping market your boat when selling. The Multihull Company is so connected in the catamaran world and used by so many catamaran sailors and searchers that we had an interested buyer before our boat was even listed and a completed sale 60 days after her first showing!!! Thanks Andrew and all of the Multihull team who worked diligently to make it happen so smoothly!

— Linda W.

We had a great experience working with Andrew! He was extremely knowledgeable and listened to our needs of what we wanted our next boat to be. He responded quickly to all of our requests and got us to the finish line. Working with Multihull was seamless and we highly recommend using Andrew and Multihull.
