InBalance is hull #4 of the Balance 482, commissioned by the founder of Balance Catamarans as his personal boat and specified with nearly every factory option. She is equipped with the full Essential Performance Voyager package: retractable daggerboards, six 48-volt electric winches, and 800 amp hours of 24-volt lithium behind a dual Integrel charging system, plus an updated five-sail arsenal of Ullman sails:
- Fully-battened square-top ADSL tri-radial laminate mainsail with a Sunbrella stack pack, new in late 2025.
- ADSL tri-radial laminate furling jib with UV cover on leech and foot.
- 90m Ullman screecher on a Facnor FX4500 furler with the electric furler upgrade,
- 135m Code D asymmetric furling spinnaker new in 2025
- 180m Nylite asymmetric spinnaker
Control lines run aft to Harken 48-volt electric winches: three at the helm, two on the aft coaming, one at the mast base. Reefing, jib and main handling are all worked from the upper helm without leaving the wheel.
InBalance is equipped with the iconic Versahelm adjustable helm position. The upper position offers visibility of course track and sail shape at the same time, with push-button control for the electric winches easily operated by foot switches. The lower position drops into the cockpit alongside the living space, with sightlines through the tempered glass salon windows and shelter from weather when you are standing watch offshore. Both stations have chart plotter, multifunction display and autopilot control.
InBalance carries no diesel generator, which is a tremendous savings for weight and diesel consumption. Charging of the 800Ah of 24-volt lithium bank (roughly 19 kWh) is provided by 1,600 watts of SunPower solar on individual Victron MPPT regulators and a dual Integrel system rated at 18kW, upgraded to Gen3 brackets in 2026. This capacity allows uninterrupted power supply for the four zones of 48-volt variable-speed Frigomar air conditioning, the Spectra Cape Horn Extreme watermaker at 54 litres per hour, induction cooktop, the combination microwave/oven fitted new in 2025, both Vitrifrigo drawer units, fridge and freezer, replaced in 2024.
She is laid out in the three cabin owner's version configuration. The owner's hull features the master ensuite aft with a separate shower stall, bench seat and natural light. Forward is the master cabin with island berth, all-weather ventilation, and walk-in access to the forepeak with hanging storage. The Spectra watermaker unit and the Samsung washer/dryer are installed into dedicated lockers you can access without moving mattresses or stored items. The two guest cabins are to port, with the guest head kept separate from the shower compartment.
On deck, the aft cockpit and transom steps were redone with AquaTraction in 2024, and the bottom was taken to epoxy barrier coat with two coats of self-polishing antifouling in 2025. There is a a top-loading cooler under the lower helm seat, Kenyon electric grill with sink and cutting board, , and a full cockpit enclosure with clear side panels. The cockpit table telescopes down into a day bed.
Ground tackle is a Rocna 33 on 50m of 10mm G4 chain behind a 48-volt Maxwell windlass, with a Fortress FX-37 secondary.
The OC Tender 350 with Yamaha 15hp is new in 2025.

I recently sold my Lagoon 450 with the Multihull Team. I would highly recommend their services. The professionalism and personal treatment I received was greatly appreciated.
Great Service, Great People
Helped me through the process.
I would go through them again in a future purchase.
The Multihull Company made the process of buying our boat easy and predictable. Both our agent (Francisco Montaner) and Andrew Holland communicated well and educated/informed us of each step in the process. I highly recommend The Multihull Company for those shopping for a catamaran!
Chuck at The Multihull Company is the real deal.
He helped us find our Lagoon 40 after genuinely listening to what we needed, not just what he had to sell. He let us visit the boat multiple times, answered every question honestly, and helped us make a confident decision on a major purchase.
What impressed us most was the post-sale support. Once the paperwork was signed, Chuck was still picking up the phone, offering referrals, and helping us work through the early stages of liveaboard life. That kind of follow-through is rare.
If you are looking for a multihull and want someone who knows the boats and actually cares about the outcome, Chuck is the person to call.
We just purchased a 2025 Nautitech 44 Open with The Multihull Company. The process of getting here has been great, and we could not have asked for a better agent. We worked with Conor, whom we met at the 2025 Cannes Boat Show. We started our search for a cruising catamaran in Florida at the beginning of the year. We spent a couple of months looking at different boats/models within our price range and quickly narrowed it down to what really mattered to us, in part thanks to the wealth of knowledge and expertise our broker provided. When we found a perfect match in Montenegro, Conor and The Multihull Company did not hesitate to continue supporting us and to lead the efforts from start to finish with great care and transparency. Communication and support have been outstanding throughout this entire process. Conor, in particular, showed great compassion and care, going above and beyond to ensure that no stone was left unturned and that we would be able to safely and happily sail off into our big adventure.
