"A Better Way" is a Aquila 54 Power Catamaran which embodies the reliable features and construction methods of the fleet of Aquila Yachts that cruise the waters worldwide. This model also enhances on-board luxuries with full size refrigeration and wide beam layout that includes a 4 Stateroom/Cabin Layout.
Owners will delight in panoramic views that fill the master cabin with natural light through large hull side windows, adding to the spacious feeling of the full-beam forward master cabin. Engineered with an open flybridge and solid glass front windscreen, or a completely enclosed and climate controlled flybridge, the Aquila 54 features the versatility to appeal to a global audience of boating enthusiasts.

Some yachts ask you to choose between space and speed, comfort and capability. This 2021 Aquila 54 Yacht Power Catamaran doesn't make you choose — and with LOW hours (<625 hrs) on her twin Volvo Penta D6-480 diesels (480 hp each), she's essentially a "Like New" Power Catamaran Yacht with all the confidence of a proven platform behind her.
Step aboard and the first thing you notice is the volume. Aquila built the 54 to feel less like a catamaran and more like a much larger monohull, with a panoramic salon, full-size refrigeration, and oversized sliding doors that open the interior straight into the cockpit. It's a layout made for entertaining, whether you're hosting sunset cocktails or settling in for a week at anchor.
Performance & Power
Twin Volvo Penta D6-480 diesels deliver a smooth, confident cruise with real offshore range, while the catamaran hull form keeps things flat and stable underway — no more chasing the horizon while your drink slides across the table. At < 625 hours, this Aquila is considered lightly used and broken in for the next owners. Cruises comfortable in the 18-20kt range.
Living Aboard
Why She Stands Out
This Aquila 54 offers the rare combination of a 2021 model's modern systems and design with none of the wear that typically comes with age. Whether you're upgrading from a monohull and craving the stability and space of a catamaran, or stepping up from a smaller Aquila into the flagship Yacht series, this is a turnkey opportunity to own one of the most livable 54-footers on the water.

Aquila worked with renowned, muti-awarded J&J Design firm for the 54 Aquila’s exceptional performance and seaworthy hull shape with bulbous bow, molded chines and spray rails that provide “A BETTER WAY” top-notch stability and comfort, along with her sleek profile and yacht-like styling. The interior fit and finish is much more luxury yacht-like than typical power catamaran.
Notable Features and Upgrades:
Enclosed Flybridge I Portuguese Bridge Deck:
Portuguese bridge with center access to the bow and wide bulwark-protected decks surrounding the enclosed helm provide safe, easy access to the foredeck and bow for captain and guests. Climate controlled Helm and Sky Lounge are another excellent social area with plenty of seating, and dining table; a wide starboard side slider provides quick exit to Portuguese bridge. Accordion-Fold slider opens to the aft terrace that features a huge grill station/wet bar with hot/cold sink and space for deck chairs and lounges. Starboard aft stairs lead down to cockpit and main deck entrance. Stairs are covered by the flybridge sky lounge hardtop aft overhang and fybridge deck aft extension that overhangs the cockpit.
Foredeck / Bow:
Steps and walkway from Portuguese bridge to bow provide safe, easy access to the forward deck area for relaxation,
sunning, socializing. Bow deck railing features princess chairs in corners.
Stern:
Board from either starboard or port swim platforms with ergonomic transom steps that are 12″ high x 42″ wide for comfortable stern seating. A patented boarding ladder slides out from under a starboard side hatch and tilts down 30″ deep with 3 steps. The large hydraulic center platform accommodates a 14 ft. tender and lowers to the same level as the fixed side platforms to create a large full-beam beach area. Another outstanding feature is the crane that extends from the aft bridge deck with a hook that is deployed to secure the tender’s hoist lines for launching into the water—no davit to take up deck space!
Cockpit:
The cockpit has a built-in transom settee with a rectangular double pedestal table for alfresco dining. Two fixed pedestal stools are at a bar that connects to the galley inside via a large opening window for enjoying cocktails and refreshments.
Aft galley window makes it easy to serve meals and beverages outdoors. A few steps on port and starboard sides lead up to wide side decks to the bow.
Main Deck:
“A BETTER WAY” features the 4-cabin layout with the aft galley up and full beam master suite forward. The large aft L-Shaped galley with island and full-size refrigerator/freezer is fully equipped with appliances and storage for entertaining and meals for longer cruises. The aft window folds outward and up, and a countertop extension folds outward for bar service to the cockpit. Aft sliders open up to blend cockpit with salon and galley to maximize entertainment space. Salon table leaves fold out to provide dining for 8 with seating on the U-Shaped settee. An upholstered bench style settee is directly opposite on starboard.

We had an outstanding experience working with Andrew Hodgdon to find our dream boat, an Outremer 52.
We were actually referred to him by several different people—clients who had been very happy working with him, as well as boat owners who were planning to use him to sell their own boats. After working with Andrew ourselves, we completely understand why he came so highly recommended.
We worked with him for several months, and from start to finish, he was exceptional. Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable and truly an expert when it comes to performance catamarans. He took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for, was always responsive and organized, and never made us feel pressured throughout the process.
Andrew went above and beyond to arrange showings for us in multiple states and even traveled to another state to be there with us for the sea trial. His expertise and guidance gave us tremendous confidence as we evaluated such a significant purchase.
The entire process could have been overwhelming, but he made it remarkably smooth. He was on top of every detail and made the paperwork and closing process easy, working seamlessly with his team at The Multihull Company.
What impressed us most was that he genuinely had our best interests in mind. And his support didn’t end when the sale was completed. He has continued to stay in touch and has made it clear that he is still available to help us if we ever need him. That kind of follow-through is rare and speaks volumes about the kind of broker he is.
Buying an Outremer 52 was a huge decision and a major investment, and having someone with his knowledge, experience, responsiveness, and integrity made the entire experience so much easier and more enjoyable.
We couldn’t recommend Andrew Hodgdon more highly. If you’re looking for a yacht broker—especially if you’re considering a performance catamaran—we would choose him again without hesitation. The fact that so many people recommended him to us was the reason we called him, and after working with him, we would be one of those people recommending him to others.
I highly recommend Andrew Hodgdon. He served as our buyers broker. He is responsive, highly knowledgeable and very experienced. He is also an excellent guide and counselor before, during and after the boat purchase process. If you are looking for a good-sailing cat, he seems to collect most of the available boats on the better-sailing side of the market. Top marks.
Andrew did an excellent job getting me started on my new adventures. Worked with my conflicting schedule. Is very knowledgeable in the catamaran industry. 😎
I recently sold my Lagoon 450 with the Multihull Team. I would highly recommend their services. The professionalism and personal treatment I received was greatly appreciated.
Great Service, Great People
Helped me through the process.
I would go through them again in a future purchase.
