TEIS is the result of a multi year offshore cruising project built by two experienced racing sailors seeking the right balance between performance and long term liveaboard comfort.
Built in late 2022 and delivered in April 2023, hull No. 99 of only 101 Outremer 51s ever produced, in the latest 51 V2 evolution (99 you see on the hull).
That reputation extends to comfort and conviviality. Owners of the 51 consistently praise the same qualities: remarkable stability at anchor, a cockpit that stays connected to the galley and the helm, wide visibility from inside, and an enclosed, raised cockpit doubling as a sheltered watch station in poor weather, a safety feature many rate as equal to, if not better than, a monohull's.
TEÏS's own owners, both experienced racing sailors, chose the catamaran format for exactly these reasons, then chose the 51 over the smaller 45 for its removable forestay allowing a staysail, its double helm seat and its storm proof cockpit, better suited to heavy weather.
That racing background shows throughout: the complete sail wardrobe, in Contender ZZ Ultra PE cloth, was built with sailmaker Frédéric Duthil, also sailmaker to Figaro and Transat Jacques Vabre racers, includes a 58m² genoa, a removable staysail (24m², reefing to 14m²), a fully battened 88m² mainsail with 3 reefs, a 100m² gennaker, a 72m² Code 0 and a 190m² asymmetric spinnaker.
B&G electronics suite, with a 16 inches plotter at helm, with a repeater at chart table, a separate Wesper AIS for redundancy, a SEA.AI thermal camera for night watches, and starlink for communications
Energy and comfort received the same care: lithium batteries fed by 1 300W of solar, a Dessalator watermaker, a washing machine, and a large cockpit awning for a shaded tropical lounge with a full enclosure to be protected also from the rain.

TEIS est le fruit d'un projet de croisière hauturière mûri sur plusieurs années par deux navigateurs régatiers expérimentés, en quête du juste équilibre entre performance et confort de vie à long terme. Construite fin 2022 et livrée en avril 2023, elle porte le numéro de coque 99 sur seulement 101 Outremer 51 jamais produits, dans la toute dernière évolution du modèle, la version 51 V2 (le 99 que l'on voit sur la coque).
Cette réputation s'étend au confort et à la convivialité. Les propriétaires de 51 louent unanimement les mêmes qualités : une stabilité remarquable au mouillage, un cockpit qui reste connecté à la cuisine et au poste de barre, une visibilité à 360° depuis l'intérieur, et un cockpit fermé et surélevé faisant office de poste de veille abrité par mauvais temps, un atout sécurité que beaucoup jugent équivalent, voire supérieur, à celui d'un monocoque.
Les propriétaires de TEÏS, tous deux navigateurs régatiers expérimentés, ont choisi le catamaran précisément pour ces raisons, puis ont préféré le 51 au 45 plus petit pour son étai largable permettant de gréer une trinquette, son double siège au poste de barre et son cockpit fermé, mieux adapté au gros temps.
Ce passé de régatier se retrouve dans chaque choix technique : le jeu de voiles, en tissu Contender ZZ Ultra PE, a été réalisée avec le voilier Frédéric Duthil, également voilier de coureurs du Figaro et de la Transat Jacques Vabre, et comprend un génois de 58m², une trinquette sur étai largable (24m², réductible à 14m² au ris), une grand voile lattée de 88m² à 3 ris, un gennaker de 100m², un Code 0 de 72m² et un spi asymétrique de 190m²,
Toute l’électronique est en B&G, un chartplotter de 16 pouces au poste de barre avec un répétiteur à la table à carte, un transpondeur AIS Wesper séparé pour la redondance, une caméra thermique SEA.AI pour les quarts de nuit, et Starlink pour les communications.
L'énergie et le confort à bord ont bénéficié du même soin : 800Ah de batteries lithium alimentées par 1 300W de panneaux solaires, un dessalinisateur Dessalator, un lave linge installé dès la construction, et un large taud de cockpit transformant l'espace en véritable salon entièrement étanche à la pluie et au soleil.
