About

The 2022 Lagoon 46 Altitude Adjustment represents an exceptional opportunity to own a proven blue water cruising catamaran that is fully upgraded, professionally maintained, and ideally positioned in the Mediterranean.

Purchased in March of 2024 in the Bahamas, Altitude Adjustment immediately began an impressive cruising itinerary. She sailed extensively throughout the Bahamas and along the United States East Coast before returning to the Bahamas and continuing on to the Virgin Islands and St. Maarten. In 2025, she joined the ARC Europe rally, crossing the Atlantic via Bermuda and the Azores en route to Portugal. From there, she continued cruising into the Mediterranean, visiting Spain, France, and Italy before arriving in Sicily. This is not a lightly used dock queen;Altitude Adjustment has proven herself offshore and has been continuously maintained and improved for serious passage making.

She is currently located in Sicily and undergoing professional shipyard works, including hull repainting and comprehensive servicing of the sail drives, generator, water maker, and other key systems. These proactive upgrades ensure she will be delivered turn key and ready for her next adventure. Altitude Adjustment is scheduled to be relaunched in late March, perfectly timed for a full Mediterranean cruising season.

For U.S. buyers, an important advantage is that U.S. import duties have already been paid. This provides significant flexibility and eliminates a major expense should a future owner decide to return Altitude Adjustment to the United States after enjoying time abroad.

Recent upgrades and refits highlight her readiness for extended cruising:

  • 1800 AH Victron NG lithium battery bank

  • Dual Arco Zeus High Output Alternators (March 2025)

  • ISO 9650 6-man life raft (April 2025)

The substantial lithium battery capacity, paired with high output alternators, dramatically increases onboard energy independence. Whether spending extended time at anchor in remote Mediterranean bays or preparing for another Atlantic crossing, Altitude Adjustment is equipped for comfortable off grid living and long-range cruising.

The Lagoon 46 model is widely respected for balancing performance, safety, and luxurious comfort. Designed by VPLP with exterior styling by Patrick le Qument and interiors by Nauta Design, the Lagoon 46 offers sleek lines, an efficient sail plan, and an intelligently designed flybridge helm station with excellent visibility and sail handling ergonomics. From the elevated helm, the skipper maintains clear sightlines while remaining connected to guests enjoying the spacious flybridge lounge.

Inside, Altitude Adjustment showcases the Lagoon 46s signature panoramic windows, filling the saloon with natural light and creating an open, inviting atmosphere. The seamless flow between the aft cockpit and saloon, made possible by wide sliding glass doors, enhances both entertaining and everyday living. The aft cockpit offers generous dining and seating space, while the forward cockpit provides an additional lounge area perfect for relaxing underway or at anchor. Below deck, well appointed cabins provide privacy and comfort for owners and guests, making extended cruising both practical and enjoyable.

As Lagoon describes it, the Lagoon 46 opens up endless cruising possibilities, designed to accompany you, your family, and friends on unforgettable journeys across the worlds most beautiful seas, offering unmatched comfort and performance for every adventure. Altitude Adjustment embodies that vision. She has crossed oceans, participated in organized rallies, and cruised diverse waters with confidence.

Her current location in Sicily places her at the gateway to some of the Mediterraneans most sought after cruising grounds. From the Aeolian Islands and Amalfi Coast to Sardinia, Greece, and the Balearics, a new owner can step aboard in late March and immediately begin exploring world-class destinations. The Mediterranean offers a perfect blend of protected waters, rich culture, historic ports, and varied sailing conditions.

At the same time, Altitude Adjustment has already proven her offshore capability. With ARC Europe experience and U.S. duties paid, she is equally suited to enjoy Mediterranean cruising before eventually crossing back to the Caribbean or United States. The major preparation and investment have already been made.

Altitude Adjustment is more than a yacht; it is a platform for continued adventure. Professionally maintained, thoughtfully upgraded, and positioned for immediate cruising, she stands ready for her next owner to step aboard and set sail with confidence.

Chris Rundlett in Grenada was my buyers broker for a catamaran I purchased in Tortola.
