About

1996 Fountaine Pajot Tobago 35 Cat Tales 3 cabin / 1 head

Set sail on this 1996 Fountaine Pajot Tobago 35, a well-regarded cruising catamaran built with French craftsmanship and designed for bluewater adventures. Known for its balance of performance, simplicity, and comfort, the Tobago 35 is a rare find in the current marketespecially in such well-kept condition.

The helm has a custom table / chair arrangement that is business up front and party at anchor. The raised saloon area allows for panoramic views while under way or enjoying a meal. One hull is the owners side with double berth thwartship and head. Access to the ample and well-organized mechanical area is just through the head. The other hull contains two cabins.

Naturally seaworthy, the Tobago 35 is an innovative-looking sailing vessel. Every Fountaine Pajot is built to the highest ISO 9002 European standard for offshore yachts, incorporating vacuum-bagging construction and careful hand lay-up with sophisticated isophthalic polyester resin which provides extra imperviousness to osmosis andresults in an extremely high strength-to-weight ratio. The construction method uses a Fiberglass and PVC Foamcore sandwich The keels are fixed and filled with foam, protecting the rudders and shafts. Should they strike a reef or submerged object they harmlessly break away without allowing water intrusion. This yacht is rated unsinkable.

A unique, patented feature is the eyebrow overhang of the coach roof over the window areas. This prevents the high sun from creating a greenhouse effect inside the boat.

The owners state the reason for selling is After 23 years of sailing, swallowing the anchor. They purchased the boat in Martinique, sailed her up to Canada then back down to the Caribbean where she presently resides in Grenada, West Indies.

Whether you're a seasoned sailor or ready to start your cruising dreams, this catamaran is an ideal platform for coastal cruising, island hopping, or even long-term liveaboard life.

Canadian tax paid.

We take pride in our happy customers

It’s been a few weeks now and the dust has settled. We had a great experience with the Multihull Company and in particular our broker, Caroline Laviolette. Caroline was happy to share her knowledge of the market and the catamarans we were interested in purchasing. She was patient and thorough as we looked at several boats in SE Florida, helped us narrow our search and eventually purchase a beautiful 2017 Lagoon 42. Many thanks to the team at The Multihull Company!

— Carl Anderson

We had a great experience purchasing our boat with Will Miller as a buyers agent. Purchasing our first large Cat is a daunting experience and Will was able to walk us through the process with ease. Will was very straight forward and constantly gave us honest feedback as well as finding and pointing out details on all the boats that we may not have noticed or thought about.

We had a great experience and would use them again.

I would specifically recommend a buyers agent when purchasing to help weed through a lot of problems and misrepresented boats on the market.

— Anthony Nappa

We have had great experiences with the Multihull company. We both sold our old boat through them, and bought our new boat through them. I have to say that Will Miller is top-notch, and Riley was great as our broker for selling our O day 39. when you buy a Salt or Boat through them, I feel like you are not only clients, but you are friends. The lines of communication were always open and we were always informed of everything going on.

— Gwayne

Riley, and the entire staff at The Multihull Company, were incredibly helpful and responsive in helping me find and purchase my catamaran. I was a first time purchaser and had many questions about the process and Riley was very responsive in answering those questions. I would recommend The Multihull Company to anyone in the market to purchase or sell their boat.

— Keith Sartori

Great sales agent, Dunbar Lewis!
