"Arcadia" is a 48' four cabin/four head Aquila power catamaran that was specially ordered and custom modified at the factory by the manufacturer as per the requirements of the original purchaser. She was modified to carry a Hell's Bay Boatworks, 17.8 professional flats skiff or any other similar skiff with similar specifications across her stern.
In addition to a skiff she carries a 13' AB hard bottom inflatable tender on a davit suspended above. She is not your stock version of the Aquila 48' four cabin. This vessel was custom modified at the factory by extending the hulls astern for more floatation and lift to support the extra weight of a skiff and the tender. The hydraulics and the swim platform were custom engineered and modified by enlarging the lift platform deck and fabricating special mounts for the hydraulics that allow clearance while deploying and retrieving the skiff. Custom rolling and removable support chocks were fabricated and installed in the platform deck for the skiff. The support chocks can be easily removed and stowed and then replaced with custom teak panels that cover the rails of the support hardware. This in combination with three 12" Accon pop up cleats along the aft edge of the platform deck make a clean unobstructed deck surface that functions as an enlarged swim platform when a skiff is not onboard.
The vessel comes with numerous upgrades and an extensive inventory of spares for the main engines, generator, electrical components, lighting, pumps for various systems onboard and others.
"Arcadia" is the perfect charter vessel or large family cruiser for that Island hopping. This vessel is essentially turnkey and ready to cruise as is.
