Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 Kotare – Quatuor Comfort Version | Nearly New, Warranty Remaining & Exceptionally Equipped
Kotare is a 2025 Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 Quatuor Comfort Version, first launched in La Rochelle in March 2025 and now available in French Polynesia. With only one owner from new, never chartered, and still benefiting from remaining manufacturer and equipment warranty, she represents a great opportunity to acquire a nearly new bluewater catamaran in the Pacific.
Her capabilities were clearly demonstrated during her first season, with an excellent performance in the 2025 ARC+. Kotare won the multihull B class and finished second overall among the multihulls, proving both her sailing ability and the quality of her preparation.
Kotare has been specified to a very high level for comfortable family cruising and long-distance autonomy. And combines the appeal of a recent boat with the reassurance of systems that have already been tested at sea.

Powered by upgraded twin Nanni 59hp saildrive engines with Flexofold 3-blade folding propellers, Kotare offers strong and efficient performance under power. Engine hours are modest for a boat that has completed a long delivery passage, with approximately 430 and 470 hours reported, and the most recent service was completed in June 2026. With 470L of fuel capacity, a cruising speed of around 8 knots and a maximum speed of around 10 knots, she is well prepared for extended Pacific cruising.
Her electrical and autonomy package is one of the standout features of the boat. The Victron-based lithium system includes four Victron Energy Lithium LFP Smart 300Ah batteries, a Victron Multiplus II 5000W inverter / charger, Lynx Smart BMS and distributor, and GX Touch monitoring. This is supported by a 1620W solar array with four Victron SmartSolar MPPT controllers, a 10.5kW variable-speed generator, and a 105L/h Aqua Base watermaker. Together, these systems give Kotare the autonomy expected of a high-spec modern cruising catamaran.
Comfort onboard is equally strong. The Quatuor layout offers four double cabins, each with a semi walk-around island queen bed, built-in storage, and its own private en-suite with separate toilet and spacious walk-in shower. The boat is fitted with freshwater electric toilets, slatted bed bases, cabin curtains, a washer / dryer, 700L of freshwater capacity, and full air conditioning throughout, with one unit in each cabin and two in the saloon.
The galley is positioned at bridge-deck level on the port side of the saloon and connects naturally with the forward cockpit, creating a practical and open living space with panoramic sea views. Equipment includes a 190L two-drawer interior fridge, separate 90L freezer, additional 75L cockpit fridge, gas oven, gas cooking with induction backup, integrated gas plancha, double sink, gas alarm with automatic shut-off, and additional under-sink freshwater filtration.
Under sail, Kotare is comprehensively equipped. Her Z Spars mast and boom, standing rigging and sail wardrobe are all approximately one year old and in good condition. The inventory includes a full-batten mainsail with automatic hook, lazy jack and lazy bag, furling headsail, symmetric spinnaker, code zero and gennaker. The bowsprit package includes dedicated hardware, a Karver furler, Lewmar EVO 50 winch and additional sail-handling equipment, making her well prepared for tradewind passagemaking.
The electronics package is complete and modern, centred around Garmin navigation equipment. It includes two Garmin GPS/chartplotters, Garmin radar, AIS, Garmin autopilot, two GMI 20 multifunction displays, wind, depth and speed instruments, dual-station Garmin VHF, a handheld VHF, and a spare autopilot onboard. Starlink is installed for offshore communications, while the Fusion and Bose audio upgrades, TV/HIFI package and additional top-deck speakers add comfort at anchor.
Deck equipment has also been specified for serious cruising. Kotare is fitted with a Rocna 45kg main anchor, 70m chain/rope rode, 25kg spare anchor with 100m nylon rode, 1500W electric windlass with chain counter, electric tender platform, Highfield tender, 20hp Mariner outboard, hot and cold cockpit shower, saltwater deck wash, synthetic teak on the cockpit and transoms, full canvas covers, cockpit tent, helm enclosure, exterior cushions, foredeck cushions and shades.
Safety equipment is in place for offshore cruising, including a 10-person life raft, EPIRB, 10 life jackets, ARC-compliant flare set, fire extinguishers, first aid kit, MOB equipment and drogues.
Kotare is a rare opportunity to acquire a nearly new Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 in French Polynesia, already delivered, tested offshore, and still under warranty. With her high-level specification, strong autonomy package, upgraded sail inventory, full comfort systems and recent maintenance, she is ready to continue cruising immediately.

Great Service, Great People
Helped me through the process.
I would go through them again in a future purchase.
The Multihull Company made the process of buying our boat easy and predictable. Both our agent (Francisco Montaner) and Andrew Holland communicated well and educated/informed us of each step in the process. I highly recommend The Multihull Company for those shopping for a catamaran!
Chuck at The Multihull Company is the real deal.
He helped us find our Lagoon 40 after genuinely listening to what we needed, not just what he had to sell. He let us visit the boat multiple times, answered every question honestly, and helped us make a confident decision on a major purchase.
What impressed us most was the post-sale support. Once the paperwork was signed, Chuck was still picking up the phone, offering referrals, and helping us work through the early stages of liveaboard life. That kind of follow-through is rare.
If you are looking for a multihull and want someone who knows the boats and actually cares about the outcome, Chuck is the person to call.
We just purchased a 2025 Nautitech 44 Open with The Multihull Company. The process of getting here has been great, and we could not have asked for a better agent. We worked with Conor, whom we met at the 2025 Cannes Boat Show. We started our search for a cruising catamaran in Florida at the beginning of the year. We spent a couple of months looking at different boats/models within our price range and quickly narrowed it down to what really mattered to us, in part thanks to the wealth of knowledge and expertise our broker provided. When we found a perfect match in Montenegro, Conor and The Multihull Company did not hesitate to continue supporting us and to lead the efforts from start to finish with great care and transparency. Communication and support have been outstanding throughout this entire process. Conor, in particular, showed great compassion and care, going above and beyond to ensure that no stone was left unturned and that we would be able to safely and happily sail off into our big adventure.
A sale well handled. No inflated expectations and an honest opinion throughout. Highly recommended.
