ORC57 – 2024 – High‑Performance Carbon‑Optimized Catamaran
Avel Vaez is a 2024 ORC57 (formerly Marsaudon Composites), one of the most capable and exhilarating performance cruising catamarans available today. Designed by Marc Lombard and built by the renowned ORC / Marsaudon Composites yard in Lorient, the ORC57 is celebrated for its rare combination of race‑boat DNA, lightweight composite engineering, and true offshore cruising comfort. Avel Vaez elevates this pedigree even further with an exceptional list of factory upgrades, carbon reinforcements, premium rigging, and a full offshore sail wardrobe—making her one of the most comprehensively specified ORC57s ever delivered.
Built for sailors who value speed, simplicity, and safety, this ORC57 delivers effortless 15–20‑knot passages, fingertip control, and remarkable autonomy thanks to her upgraded lithium power bank, solar array, and high‑efficiency systems. Her Lorima full‑carbon mast, Kevlar standing rigging, Dyneema stays, and carbon structural elements significantly enhance stiffness and performance while reducing weight. The sail plan is equally impressive, with multiple gennakers, storm sails, and optimized furling systems for short‑handed or long‑distance sailing.
The cockpit and deck layout are designed for both performance and comfort. Carbon davits rated to 380 kg carry a 4.15 m Hypalon tender with a 25 HP Yamaha. Electric Harken winches, ACS safety system, and optimized deck hardware make maneuvers smooth and secure. A custom turquoise matte hull wrap gives Avel Vaez a striking, unmistakable presence in any anchorage.
Inside, the ORC57 offers a bright, modern living space with panoramic views, premium upholstery, and numerous custom enhancements. The salon features extended cabinetry, additional refrigeration, a large dining table for 10, and a redesigned galley with improved storage and ergonomics. The four‑cabin layout includes upgraded mattresses, 3D ventilation grids, enhanced lighting, and a custom skipper cabin with superposed berths. Comfort systems include a 105 L/h watermaker, large washing machine, multiple freshwater outlets, and extensive 220 V and USB power distribution.
Avel Vaez is fully equipped for serious offshore cruising and commercial operation. She carries a complete Category A safety kit for 12 persons, Spade anchor with 70 m chain, towing gear, emergency equipment, and commercial vessel compliance for ocean crossing. Her electronics suite is top‑tier: NKE performance pack with pilot backup, B&G radar on carbon mast support, Starlink, Iridium 13000 + 9575, and a dedicated navigation computer running TimeZero with Mediterranean and Atlantic charts.
Delivered in 2024 and meticulously specified, Avel Vaez represents a rare opportunity to acquire a near‑new, fully optimized ORC57 without the multi‑year wait and with every major upgrade already installed. She is turn‑key, powerful, elegant, and ready for her next ocean adventure.
Avel Vaez had a professional permanent crew on board from delivery (skipper and hostess) and she has been meticulously maintained and updated. She comes with her remarkable brand covering and registration for the ARC2026, ready to sail (already two participations in 2024 and 2025), with all the safety gear required by the ARC organization. She also took part in the Aegean 600, the RORC 600, Heineken Regattas and BVI regattas. She has a MOCRA and a CSA rating certificate.
Avel Vaez is available in Britany, France. We can organize delivery with a professional crew to the Med or the Caribbeans.

Chuck at The Multihull Company is the real deal.
He helped us find our Lagoon 40 after genuinely listening to what we needed, not just what he had to sell. He let us visit the boat multiple times, answered every question honestly, and helped us make a confident decision on a major purchase.
What impressed us most was the post-sale support. Once the paperwork was signed, Chuck was still picking up the phone, offering referrals, and helping us work through the early stages of liveaboard life. That kind of follow-through is rare.
If you are looking for a multihull and want someone who knows the boats and actually cares about the outcome, Chuck is the person to call.
We just purchased a 2025 Nautitech 44 Open with The Multihull Company. The process of getting here has been great, and we could not have asked for a better agent. We worked with Conor, whom we met at the 2025 Cannes Boat Show. We started our search for a cruising catamaran in Florida at the beginning of the year. We spent a couple of months looking at different boats/models within our price range and quickly narrowed it down to what really mattered to us, in part thanks to the wealth of knowledge and expertise our broker provided. When we found a perfect match in Montenegro, Conor and The Multihull Company did not hesitate to continue supporting us and to lead the efforts from start to finish with great care and transparency. Communication and support have been outstanding throughout this entire process. Conor, in particular, showed great compassion and care, going above and beyond to ensure that no stone was left unturned and that we would be able to safely and happily sail off into our big adventure.
A sale well handled. No inflated expectations and an honest opinion throughout. Highly recommended.
Absolutely THE ONLY company to use for buying or selling a catamaran! Our Broker Andrew Hodgdon, was excellent to work with, an experienced catamaran captain with extensive knowledge of sailing catamarans, the ins and outs of the construction, performance, systems, everything involved and life on board catamarans. All of which is invaluable in looking for the right boat for someone to buy or helping market your boat when selling. The Multihull Company is so connected in the catamaran world and used by so many catamaran sailors and searchers that we had an interested buyer before our boat was even listed and a completed sale 60 days after her first showing!!! Thanks Andrew and all of the Multihull team who worked diligently to make it happen so smoothly!
We had a great experience working with Andrew! He was extremely knowledgeable and listened to our needs of what we wanted our next boat to be. He responded quickly to all of our requests and got us to the finish line. Working with Multihull was seamless and we highly recommend using Andrew and Multihull.
