Crush | 2022 Corsair 880 Sport

Galesville, MD, US

About

The current owners have enjoyed sailing this boat with their family almost every weekend on the Chesapeake Bay in the warmer months. They report that the boat sails beautifully—is fast even in light air and is very capable and manageable even in heavy conditions with two reefs in the main. The wave-piercing bows make her slice through chop smoothly and efficiently.

They love the range and performance this boat gives them and are only selling because their family is growing and they need bit more space. But are committed to the trimaran configuration which is hard to beat for exhilaration, speed, the convenience of being able to dock in a standard width slip, not to mention trailerability and the ability to step and unstep the mast without needing the assistance of a crane.

The mission of the Corsair 880 is to provide sailors of all skill levels the opportunity to trailer a boat to distant cruising grounds, be self sufficient, be comfortable, and sail fast  Presented here is the 880 Sport version to deliver all of that as well as race wins.

So if your priority is to have the same adventures as cruisers, while also winning races then the new Corsair 880 Sport will float your boat. This is performance for skilled sailors. Featuring a tall 13.5 meter carbon fibre mast, high performance aramid laminate sails and a light interior fit-out this boat is the tuned up version of the state of the art in performance trimaran design. A carbon bowsprit creates an increased forward triangle to get the maximum downwind performance.

The 880 Sport is much more than a drop dead gorgeous and feature-packed high speed Corsair trimaran. Careful attention has been paid to interior details to aid creature comfort. The main cabin has copious standing head room for starters. The galley area, like the main salon, has full standing headroom making cooking and moving about while underway a breeze. And the spacious aft sleeping cabin does not intrude even slightly on the cockpit layout as it is totally contained under the cockpit floor. This enables the boat to sleep 5 comfortably.

Sailing fast is vastly more fun than sailing slowly. Most fast sailboats have spartan interiors. But why not sail fast and have comfort too with the Corsair 880 Sport?

We take pride in our happy customers

I cannot speak too highly of Andrew Hodgdon and his colleagues at the Multihull Company.

The process of selling my boat was very smooth and well managed and with excellent communication – especially important as I was unable to be nearby during the sale process. Andrew’s deep knowledge of the market and my boat was very reassuring. We spoke regularly and he kept me closely advised all the way through to a happy sale. I found him a good guy, very helpful, willing to share and bounce ideas around, and I enjoyed working with him. Highly recommended!

— Allan Morrison

Andrew Hodgdon and The Multihull Company are really professional! I just closed a deal with them, and everything was pretty smooth. Andrew was punctual, showed a lot of expertise, and he was honest about all the problems with the boat. He is also giving me the support I need to run all the projects on this boat. This whole process was much better than I was expecting, and I recommend this team! Thank you, Andrew.

— Gustavo Machado

The multihull company, specifically Andrew Hodgson worked with me in the sale of Gods Grace, a 50’ Voyage 500. They made sure that as many people as possible touched it, laid hands on it, ultimately resulting in a offer and sale and was extremely helpful in the prep and sale process as I did not live locally… If you want to make sure that people actually see your vessel, will be honest and truly assist you in the sale, Andrew is the man for the job.

— Neal Monacelli

Andrew Hodgdon always goes above and beyond. After several transactions I wouldn’t work with anyone else in the industry.

— David Pignolet

Andrew at the Multihull Company was our buyer’s broker and he was excellent to work with. He thoroughly explained the purchase process, and helped with many questions along the way. We would definitely use Andrew and Multihull again to buy and sell catamarans and yachts.
