About

Red Beans is just back from a winter in the Bahamas! This 3 cabin/2 head boat is ready to go cruising again.Over the past 18 years, the current owner has made several trips on Red Beans from his hometown in NY to Exuma. He spent many of those years living aboard Red Beans in the Exumas. Since returning to NY the owner has been removing his personal items and making the boat tidy.Red Beans is ready to start your next adventure!

Red Beans is a great cruising catamaran that offers a balance of live aboard comfort with sailing performance. An air draft of 57 allows transit of the ICW, but also enough sail area to power the boat in light winds. The sail wardrobe consists of a new full batten main sail, roller furling head sails (recently reconditioned), stay sail, and a spinnaker. Two large anchors, a powerful windlass, and lots of chain/rode keep this cat safely anchored in strong blows. The cockpit is secure, yet comfortable and is an ideal place to keep kids or pets safe while sailing. There is a new bimini providing plenty of shade.A BBQ and plenty of seating makes the cockpit a great place to lounge while at anchor.Rounding out the exterior are secure davits with integrated solar panels and wind generator that hold the RIB with 15hp outboard.

Red Beans interior offers a beautiful combination of natural light, varnished wood, and opening hatches/ports for ventilation. The bridge deck cabin offers large U shaped seating with ample table space to feed the crew plus guests. To starboard is a navigation area that provides a large chart table, vhf, and electrical panel.

The port hull has a single cabin aft, galley amidships, master cabin forward, and head in the bow.Of note is the large stainless food prep area and sink, 3 burner propane cooktop and oven. The galley is a great space for those who enjoy eating well while living afloat!

The starboard hull has a utility room aft that houses the hot water heater, inverter, charger, and space for tool storage. Amidships is a large workspace and plenty of storage for spares.Forward is a master cabin and head/shower in the bow.

Although not common on this side of the world, Simpson is a highly regarded naval architect from Australia.Simpson Designs are known to produce practical yet efficient multihulls. The hulls are constructed via the strip plank method using Durakore, System 3 Epoxy, and 18oz bi-directional fiberglass. The original owner/builder sold the boat after a trip to the Bahamas and local use to the current owner.Red Beans has been lovingly cared for over the past 18 years by the current owner.Putting his baby on the market is weighing heavy on his heart, but grandkids and homes in NY and the Bahamas require his attention.Dont miss this special opportunity to sail away on a ready to go cruising cat!

Great Service, Great People
Helped me through the process.
I would go through them again in a future purchase.

— David Anderson

The Multihull Company made the process of buying our boat easy and predictable. Both our agent (Francisco Montaner) and Andrew Holland communicated well and educated/informed us of each step in the process. I highly recommend The Multihull Company for those shopping for a catamaran!

— Jeffrey Bredeson

Chuck at The Multihull Company is the real deal.
He helped us find our Lagoon 40 after genuinely listening to what we needed, not just what he had to sell. He let us visit the boat multiple times, answered every question honestly, and helped us make a confident decision on a major purchase.
What impressed us most was the post-sale support. Once the paperwork was signed, Chuck was still picking up the phone, offering referrals, and helping us work through the early stages of liveaboard life. That kind of follow-through is rare.
If you are looking for a multihull and want someone who knows the boats and actually cares about the outcome, Chuck is the person to call.

We just purchased a 2025 Nautitech 44 Open with The Multihull Company. The process of getting here has been great, and we could not have asked for a better agent. We worked with Conor, whom we met at the 2025 Cannes Boat Show. We started our search for a cruising catamaran in Florida at the beginning of the year. We spent a couple of months looking at different boats/models within our price range and quickly narrowed it down to what really mattered to us, in part thanks to the wealth of knowledge and expertise our broker provided. When we found a perfect match in Montenegro, Conor and The Multihull Company did not hesitate to continue supporting us and to lead the efforts from start to finish with great care and transparency. Communication and support have been outstanding throughout this entire process. Conor, in particular, showed great compassion and care, going above and beyond to ensure that no stone was left unturned and that we would be able to safely and happily sail off into our big adventure.

A sale well handled. No inflated expectations and an honest opinion throughout. Highly recommended.
