About

Xquisite X5 Catamaran – 2017 | Luxury. Performance. Perfection.

Step aboard one of the world’s most awarded bluewater cruising catamarans – the Xquisite X5, launched in 2017 and built for sailors who demand excellence.

This 50-foot catamaran is the epitome of modern ocean cruising, blending intelligent design, state of the art systems, and handcrafted luxury. Designed by Rudolf Jonker and built by Phoenix Marine Manufacturing in South Africa, this vessel reflects a philosophy of durability, comfort, and elegance.

The Xquisite X5 has an exceptional build quality. Her hulls are built using vacuum-infused epoxy vinyl ester resin with multiaxial E-glass reinforcements and a Divinycell PVC foam core of varying densities. This advanced composite construction ensures a highly rigid, impact-resistant, and lightweight laminate, optimized for offshore durability.

Structural integrity is exceptional, with:

  • 24mm Lloyd’s-certified marine plywood bulkheads, hand-laminated to both hull and deck
  • Dedicated crash bulkheads in the bows for forward impact protection
  • Aft collision bulkheads in each transom to protect the engine compartments
  • Lower keel impact compartments integrated into each hull for added grounding safety

This meticulous structural approach sets the X5 apart as a catamaran truly prepared for the challenges of extended offshore cruising — offering peace of mind where it matters most.

Sea Larks is fully ready for bluewater adventures. The boat is powered by twin Yanmar 80hp engines with electric controls and Maxprop folding propellors and a 12kW generator.  Added to this is:

  • A huge solar capacity at 2400W added to a 1080Ah set of Mastervolt lithium batteries means there is never a power problem.
  • There is AC current on a Mastervolt 3.5kW inverter as well as from the generator, and shore power in 110V and 220V
  • The boat can easily run the 40gph (150l/h) water maker, air conditioning, washer dryer, dishwasher, 157l fridge 144l freezer, icemaker, Bosch combination microwave/oven on the battery bank.
  • And the owner has stand alone induction stoves to replace the propane system as needed.

All this means that you can live as you choose to even when in remote locations.

The interior is spacious and refined in 3-cabin owner’s layout with en-suite bathrooms.  The finishes are light oak and particularly noteworthy are the panoramic windows giving a fantastic view (and visibility while sailing) in the saloon and in the hulls.   The quality of the cabinetry is excellent, and there are multiple storage options throughout the boat, including a walk-in dressing area in the owners hull.

The galley is equipped with premium appliances and includes a central island workspace, which is excellent for family life and for entertaining.

The onboard electronics includes Garmin navigation, seamless control systems and state of the art communication systems

  • Central touchscreen C-Zone control panel for systems monitoring
  • Integrated Garmin navigation suite with 16” chart plotter, Radar, AIS, forward sonar
  • Starlink and Iridium Go technology, as well as an SSB radio set

We take pride in our happy customers

It’s been a few weeks now and the dust has settled. We had a great experience with the Multihull Company and in particular our broker, Caroline Laviolette. Caroline was happy to share her knowledge of the market and the catamarans we were interested in purchasing. She was patient and thorough as we looked at several boats in SE Florida, helped us narrow our search and eventually purchase a beautiful 2017 Lagoon 42. Many thanks to the team at The Multihull Company!

— Carl Anderson

We had a great experience purchasing our boat with Will Miller as a buyers agent. Purchasing our first large Cat is a daunting experience and Will was able to walk us through the process with ease. Will was very straight forward and constantly gave us honest feedback as well as finding and pointing out details on all the boats that we may not have noticed or thought about.

We had a great experience and would use them again.

I would specifically recommend a buyers agent when purchasing to help weed through a lot of problems and misrepresented boats on the market.

— Anthony Nappa

We have had great experiences with the Multihull company. We both sold our old boat through them, and bought our new boat through them. I have to say that Will Miller is top-notch, and Riley was great as our broker for selling our O day 39. when you buy a Salt or Boat through them, I feel like you are not only clients, but you are friends. The lines of communication were always open and we were always informed of everything going on.

— Gwayne

Riley, and the entire staff at The Multihull Company, were incredibly helpful and responsive in helping me find and purchase my catamaran. I was a first time purchaser and had many questions about the process and Riley was very responsive in answering those questions. I would recommend The Multihull Company to anyone in the market to purchase or sell their boat.

— Keith Sartori

Great sales agent, Dunbar Lewis!
