Lagoon 620 : THE ART OF LIVING

Designed by the architects Van Peteghem and Lauriot-Prévost (VPLP) in association with the Lagoon R&D department, the Lagoon 620 is an innovative solution to the needs of today's cruising yachtsman : Strength, comfort and performance.

In the dining room, the settees and ceiling enable more effective indirect lighting.

The Lagoon 620 benefits from Ambiances created by Nauta for the "large" Lagoons with complete interior layout packages elegantly incorporating wood finish, upholstery, inner liners, and more…

ABOVE DECKS

Flybridge with double helm station provides perfect visibility when setting sail or maneuvering

A functional flybridge that can also accommodate visitors thanks to separate crew and reception areas.

A large sun-deck forward

Forward and aft cockpits: a private area or open to guests, depending on your mood

Perfectly designed transom platforms for easy access to the sea when bathing or boarding a dinghy

Ease of movement around the boat thanks to flush deck panels and wide side decks that make for a generously proportioned boat with a practical design

Saloon and cockpit are beautifully integrated and include a "wet bar", areas for lazing around, and the option of taking meals inside or out without having to make any adjustments

BELOW DECKS

Immense saloon with clearly defined dining, relaxing, sitting and navigation areas

Lateral galley in the port hull includes direct access to the saloon and a separate exit to the cockpit

Luxurious, well-designed cabins with side access to beds, washrooms with separate showers, plenty of storage space and separate heads

Large hull windows and picture windows give plenty of natural light

Indirect lighting in saloon and cabins provides softer light and the saloon

Engine compartments are far from the living areas and perfectly insulated

Brokers Comments

This is an exceptionally well-cared-for and more importantly loved Lagoon 620, the owners are motivated to sell however are happy with their asking price which represents the value of this boat based on the market and her high level of maintenance (See Captain's Comments below).

Captain's Comments

I have been “around" this Lagoon 620 since the real beginning, from the delivery up to the last winter service that is still in progress.

I also have been her lucky captain during the season 2021, mostly to share the pleasure of sailing with the owner and his family (he is a good sailor as well).

I wish to share with you few details that are absolutely important to know.

Despite the boat has been advertised for charter, the strict and narrow selection of guests done in advance (only families and never party crews), made a total of 15 weeks in 5 years. The owners always wanted to keep the boat at the highest possible level of maintenance and detailing, this is why they always personally studied and approved the charters personally. Charter always with crew on board, experienced captains, and well-prepared hostess and cook.

It’s possible to count the total months that the boat has been in the water because she has been ashore in the shipyard from the beginning of September to the beginning of May or June every year!

While not sailing (only crew on board) this Lagoon 620 has been berthed in the marina, saving usage of water makers, generator, and shower/toilettes.

About maintenance.

Full antifouling every year, polishing, engines and transmission elements (despite the few amount of hours), generator, sails (washed to remove the salt), pillows stored inside the boat and never outside, dinghy covered and engine maintained, folding propellers shock absorbers replaced as soon as necessary, clima filters cleaned every year, and a professional team of cleaners whenever needed before the summer or even after a charter despite the crew on board.

Never, not even very light, contact with the ground during sailing.

Just to be totally fair, this year I have to replace one of the two small propellers on the bow thruster simply because something bumped last summer in it and one blade on the five got damaged.

Let me simply say that this Lagoon 620 is a real jewel, mainly because the owners spent a lot of money on maintenance on her (simply think of how expensive is to store ashore for 9 months per year instead of having it in a marina).

General

19 kW power generator, 3 inverters 24/220V (2 x 5000 VA, 1 x 2000 VA), 840 Amp/24V gel battery set, 4 freshwater tanks, hydraulic gangplank.

2 x 400L/h freshwater makers – connected to the engines in order to work through a drive belt. One on port and one on starboard. They produce water while running, port side at minimum rpm and starboard side at cruising speed. That’s the reason of the difference in hours, because in the bay you can use the port to refill the tanks and to charge the batteries at the same time. Both water makers can obviously fill both sides, even at the same time having a production of 700/800 litres (together) per hour.

Tankage

• Fuel Tanks: 2
• Fuel Tank Capacity: 2 x 650 Lt (1300 Lt total) (344 US Gal)

• Water Tanks: 2
• Water Tank Capacity: 2 x 480 Lt (960 Lt. total) (254 US Gal)

• Holding Tank Count: 5 (1 tank per toilet)
• Holding Tank Capacity: 73 Lt (19 US Gal)

Engine and Generator hours January 2023

Port engine: 1624 h

Starboard engine: 1431 h

Generator: 1430 h

Of note – Conventional Lagoon boats typically use the generator more, because this is required for electric water-maker but not on this boat… It is not a charter boat and the generator is not needed in the same way to make water.

The TWO water-makers on this Lagoon 620 are connected directly to the 2 engines to produce water when using boat engines: more reliability and production capability (up to 800 l/hours). This is really important to ensure that you and your guests have nice holidays on the boat not being dependent on 1 generator and 1 water-maker (electric Lagoon water maker produce 280 l/h).

Your team delivered on every mark. You’ve got an amazing broker in Mark Wattrus and I’m confident you will have continued success moving forward together. He was available 24/7 whenever I had questions. We had a great initial visit on the boat and his marketing plan and photos were superb

— Jimmy

I bought a yacht that I had never seen. I did this because I trusted my broker Andrew Holland. It was not an easy job for Andrew, as I am an experienced boat builder and owner of previous yachts, but work in West Africa. Imagine how hard it was to communicate what I was looking for. Andrew came up with exactly what I wanted. He dealt with time delays, all my questions at odd hours, and was there for the survey. He reported honestly and professionally. After buying the yacht, I arrived at the boat on a Sunday night, after dark, after travelling from West Africa to the Caribbean, and found it was better than expected. He never pulled punches and made me aware of shortfalls. I expected to spend my one month leave working on the boat, but actually spent less than one week, and was able to spend 3 weeks sailing – wonderful bonus.

Thank you Andrew for putting up with all my questions, all my worries and all my crazy out of the time zone concerns – you were totally professional, but also I know that if and when we meet up, it will be like a friend finally meeting. You are always welcome on Aseka.

Outstanding company with professional subject matter experts. If I were to buy or sell cruising sailboat, particularly a catamaran, Andrew would be my go to broker.

— JT

I have been sailing since I was a child and attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy. But when my wife and I began the process of purchasing an ocean cruising/racing catamaran, I realized that this is a world unto itself. Obviously, we needed to find someone knowledgeable to help us make an informed decision. More importantly, we needed someone honest and willing to put our interests before his or her own. I was lucky to work with Phil Berman at The Multihull Company. He repeatedly shunned the fast buck, choosing instead to work the long road to connect us with the “perfect boat”. I would be glad to recommend Phil and his company to anyone planning to purchase or sell a performance sailing machine.

— Eric Boutiette

Andrew Hodgdon was our broker when we bought our 2018 Lagoon 450F in Antigua in April 2922. He provided great service and was very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend Andrew and the Multihull Company.
