Freeride | 1985 Cape Dory 270

Charleston, SC, US

About

The Cape Dory 270is aFull-Keel/Centerboarder that offers yachtsmen a shoal draft boat without sacrificing the safety, stability, or ease of handling of a "Full-Keel" design. With board up the draft is three feet and with board down, the CD270 draws seven feet, making the boat exceptionally close-winded.The centerboard gives the helmsman new wetted surface and helm balancing options.

With 9'5" beam and standing headroom, the CD270 has one of the largest interiors of any 27-footer afloat. It sleeps four comfortably, has a fixed table with two leafs and a galley. An enclosed head with shower stall and a private vanity area separate the main salon from the V-Berth.

Cape Dory 270 "Freeride" underwent a huge refit, taking almost 3 years. This refit included a new motor, new sails, new running rigging, brightwork, tankless water heater, and much more. She was re-launched in November 2022.

It gets no better than The Multihull Company. I’ve watched their great videos for years. When it was time to sell my catamaran, there were no other brokerages in consideration. THEY ARE THE CATAMARAN MARKET LEADERS!! Captain Will Miller has taken the company to the top level. They had an interested buyer prior to my listing going live. I was under contract the first week. The Multihull Company is an impressive organization.
