Roam Monitoring System: Roam Devices – Remote Vessel Monitor

This onboard monitoring system is $5 per month and uses either US cellular service or WIFI/Starlink. I have found it indispensable for ensuring that Dauntless is in good condition when on the dock or on the hook. This system has an upgrade using a Vectron 500amp shunt for accurate measurement of Amp balance, in and out to the batteries, and battery condition. Roam also has an anchor drag warning which puts one at rest when off the boat and on the hook. I have found that the Solar is more than ample to support the Fridge, freezer, Starlink and Roam on reasonably sunny days. Roam monitors the following:

  • Freezer Temperature
  • Fridge Temperature
  • Salon Temperature
  • Shore Power
  • Battery Condition and Amp balance.
  • Anchor Drag, (Off boat monitoring at anchor and slip)

Starlink: Starlink

This is an indispensable addition to Dauntless. I have yet to see a cruising catamaran off shore without it. For weather updates with the likes of, Chris Parker Marine Weather Center – Meet Chris Parker or Predict Wind The World Leader in Wind Forecasting · Predict Wind you cannot beat it. Having access to phoning friends, family, marinas, restaurants and the list goes on is a convenience that cannot be understated. What it brings to safety, the ability to call for medical or sea hazards is indispensable.

The system on Dauntless is the Performance Gen 2 for both the antenna and the WIFI providing seamless compatibility and reception in any weather out at sea. This is the best Starlink has to offer.

The installation, although post-delivery is of the highest professional level with the antenna atop of the cockpit roof at the rear. This installation inhibits the reefing lines or main sheet from hooking. The aft LED white nav light was upgraded and re-positioned to also inhibit hooking of lines.

Water Filtration: Clearsource RV Water Filter Systems | ClearsourceRV

Clear Source has two divisions, marine and RV. Dauntless has three (3) filter systems on board, water is critical to our health and obtaining water from docks, foreign ports in particular, or a water maker needs to be filtered to ensure that it is potable. Although a good quality water maker such that Dauntless has produces H2O with dissolved solids less than 200 parts per million. Municipalities accept 500 and below. On Dauntless it is pure H2O as I had the water tested twice by an independent laboratory who support Municipality water quality. The tests post filtration was zero in all categories. The following systems are on board.

  • Clear source built in Marine triple filter with two carbon and one microbe filter. This is post the water pump providing all water outlets on the boat except deck wash.
  • Clear Source triple filter mobile pack for dock water. 1x 5 micron, 1x Carbon and 1x Microbe.
  • Under sink in line one unit triple filter.
  • Seawind installed in line filter for Ice Maker.

Up Graded Davit Blocks:

  • Davit blocks originally sheavedbushingrestricting the 7x purchase. Replaced with low friction bearing blocks byRonstan.Up gradedto large snap shackles for ease of clip on and off plus safetyfeaturewhilst the dinghy is in the water and still connected to the Davit lines.

Built in Coffee and Wine glass rack:

  • From the Salon to the port hull athree-shelfpurpose-builtrack for coffee cups, wine goblets and drinking glass was post designed and built in.

Isolation Transformers:

  • The two isolation transformers under the aft starboard birth are cooled with an aftermarket small electronic cooling fan system to ensure the transformers run cool under maximum load.

We take pride in our happy customers

I chose Zee (Zvonimir Kalinic) after posting an ad for a broker on Yacht Sales from about 15 other brokers because he showed professionalism and care right away compared to the others. Most of the brokers never intended to show people my boat but yet somehow expected to collect commission. Zee met me in Novigrad and spent 3 hours taking photos and drone footage and throughout the listing period was communicating continuously and advising me about any offers that came through. His service was at a high standard that I was extremely happy with and felt comfortable at all times especially since I’m in Sydney and my boat is in Montenegro. I can’t recommend Zee highly enough to anyone looking to sell their boat with peace of mind.

— Mark Eymes

The brokerage team has been amazing. They helped me find the right catamaran for our family of four, with enough space for extended family and friends to stay with us anytime. The broker really helped me narrow down what I needed. I started with a long list and eventually narrowed it down to something that was the right fit and price for me.

— Adam Munder

Our broker Mike Rybas was excellent – great experience!

— Chris Hannant

I cannot speak too highly of Andrew Hodgdon and his colleagues at the Multihull Company.

The process of selling my boat was very smooth and well managed and with excellent communication – especially important as I was unable to be nearby during the sale process. Andrew’s deep knowledge of the market and my boat was very reassuring. We spoke regularly and he kept me closely advised all the way through to a happy sale. I found him a good guy, very helpful, willing to share and bounce ideas around, and I enjoyed working with him. Highly recommended!

— Allan Morrison

Andrew Hodgdon and The Multihull Company are really professional! I just closed a deal with them, and everything was pretty smooth. Andrew was punctual, showed a lot of expertise, and he was honest about all the problems with the boat. He is also giving me the support I need to run all the projects on this boat. This whole process was much better than I was expecting, and I recommend this team! Thank you, Andrew.
