About
The Bali 4.6 Open Space, 3 Cabin Owner Version is a well-regarded sailing catamaran praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and innovative design, making it a popular choice for both private owners and charter companies.
Layout and Space
The 3 Cabin Owner version dedicates an entire hull to the owner's suite, which includes a large master cabin with a king-size double bed, multiple wardrobes, and a luxurious bathroom featuring a double sink, shower, and space for washer/dryer. This creates a private and comfortable living area for the owner.
The opposite hull is divided into two equal cabins, each with its own bathroom (shower, toilet, washbasin) and ample storage, suitable for guests or family members.
The Bali 4.6 offers about 95 square meters of usable space across the interior, foredeck, and flybridge, which is exceptional for a 46-foot catamaran.
The open-plan saloon features the signature "Bali door" — a large pneumatic garage door that opens the saloon to the aft cockpit, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living space flooded with natural light and ventilation. This design blurs the lines between the cockpit and saloon, enhancing social interaction and comfort.
The galley is fully equipped like a home kitchen, with a gas stove, oven, microwave, double-sided fridge, freezer with chilled water, dishwasher, and ice maker. It is L-shaped and positioned to serve both the saloon and cockpit efficiently.
The foredeck offers a large sunbathing area, a freestanding sun lounger, and an L-shaped bench with a table, ideal for outdoor dining and relaxation.
Comfort and Amenities
The cabins are designed with comfort and ventilation in mind, with large portholes and quality materials to ensure a pleasant stay aboard for extended cruises.
The flybridge is a spacious mezzanine level divided into a helm station and a relaxation area with sofas and tables, providing panoramic views and a social space for guests.
The boat includes modern navigation electronics, autopilot, GPS chart plotters, solar panels for energy autonomy, air conditioning, heating, and entertainment systems like a flat-screen TV and stereo for onboard luxury.
Safety features include metal handrails along the sides and in the interior, ensuring secure movement around the boat.
Sailing and Performance
The Bali 4.6 is not designed for high speed but for comfortable, enjoyable cruising. It features moderate sail area with relatively low masts and is easy to handle, including electric winches and automatic jib furling. It is responsive and pleasant to sail, making it suitable for both experienced sailors and cruising couples.
Powered by twin 45 HP Yanmar inboard engines, it offers reliable maneuverability and convenient engine access for maintenance

It’s been a few weeks now and the dust has settled. We had a great experience with the Multihull Company and in particular our broker, Caroline Laviolette. Caroline was happy to share her knowledge of the market and the catamarans we were interested in purchasing. She was patient and thorough as we looked at several boats in SE Florida, helped us narrow our search and eventually purchase a beautiful 2017 Lagoon 42. Many thanks to the team at The Multihull Company!
We had a great experience purchasing our boat with Will Miller as a buyers agent. Purchasing our first large Cat is a daunting experience and Will was able to walk us through the process with ease. Will was very straight forward and constantly gave us honest feedback as well as finding and pointing out details on all the boats that we may not have noticed or thought about.
We had a great experience and would use them again.
I would specifically recommend a buyers agent when purchasing to help weed through a lot of problems and misrepresented boats on the market.
We have had great experiences with the Multihull company. We both sold our old boat through them, and bought our new boat through them. I have to say that Will Miller is top-notch, and Riley was great as our broker for selling our O day 39. when you buy a Salt or Boat through them, I feel like you are not only clients, but you are friends. The lines of communication were always open and we were always informed of everything going on.
Riley, and the entire staff at The Multihull Company, were incredibly helpful and responsive in helping me find and purchase my catamaran. I was a first time purchaser and had many questions about the process and Riley was very responsive in answering those questions. I would recommend The Multihull Company to anyone in the market to purchase or sell their boat.
