About

Meet Captiva, a proven award-winning catamaran, offered for sale after having sailed the East Coast and Bahamas for the past 8 years.

She was modified by the previous owner from 32' 9" to 36' (like the later Seawind 1000XL), extending hulls for added waterline length and performance.
With 36" LOA (about 40' with the folding bowsprit), Captiva is a modest catamaran by todays standard and yet she can handle anything from day sailing to passages with ease. Designed to be shorthanded, the current owners have maintained and upgraded her with solar panels and Lithium batteries.

Her 3 cabin / 1 head layout will allow you to host friends, or family with 1 double berth, 2 twin berth below and extra double in the salon.

The galley down is tidy and offers plenty of storage, refrigeration and a cooktop in addition to the gas plancha aft in the cockpit. The open cockpit/salon is protected by a hard top bimini and has an enclosure to protect the salon. The arch aft offers sitting and has davits with a 2023 10' 3" Highfield tender with a new 9.7hp Tohatsu outboard.

Captiva is an affordable entry point catamaran for someone who is looking at getting into sailing and perfect for shorthanded.
There are many features and extras included in the sale: solar panels, lithium batteries, spare parts, inflatable paddle board, extra sails, galley ware, safety equipment (life raft, EPIRB, etc...)

ICW friendly with only 55' overall. Original standing rigging, all running rigging was updated (2021). The mast is hinged and can be lowered for trips down the ICW.

Bottom paint done May 2024.

Absolutely THE ONLY company to use for buying or selling a catamaran! Our Broker Andrew Hodgdon, was excellent to work with, an experienced catamaran captain with extensive knowledge of sailing catamarans, the ins and outs of the construction, performance, systems, everything involved and life on board catamarans. All of which is invaluable in looking for the right boat for someone to buy or helping market your boat when selling. The Multihull Company is so connected in the catamaran world and used by so many catamaran sailors and searchers that we had an interested buyer before our boat was even listed and a completed sale 60 days after her first showing!!! Thanks Andrew and all of the Multihull team who worked diligently to make it happen so smoothly!

Chris Block was our broker. He was great. He went above and beyond what we thought we needed. His expertise helped us get our dream boat for way less than expected. I will use TMC and Chris Block in the future. Definitely recommend.

Chris Rundlett in Grenada was my buyers broker for a catamaran I purchased in Tortola.
The buying process was problematic with numerous mechanical issues needing attention. Throughout the process he was fantastic. I would highly recommend him if you’re looking to buy a boat in the Caribbean.
