The original design premise for the Balance 482 was to create a catamaran that had wonderful sailing characteristics with luxurious and comfortable accommodations but was set up to still be easily operated by a retired couple.Therefore, these performance cruising vessels are equipped with powerful sail plans and daggerboards which allow them to sail circles around the competition while still being easily managed for shorthanded operation.As the name suggests, it is the perfectbalanceof sporty sailing characteristics and liveaboard comfort.
