About

Master Stateroom Version

The Prout 39 Escale is a rare find, with estimates suggesting that fewer than 200 of these catamarans are still sailing today. Lesmona is exceptionally well-built for true-blue water sailing. The hull design includes integral water tanks in the keels, providing a double layer of protection, and buoyancy compartments forward and aft, adding to the boats unsinkable reputation. Lesmona is easily managed as a single-handed sailor, yet offers comfortable accommodations for a cruising couple or small family.

Notable Highlights:

  • Standing Rigging Replaced 2019
  • Bottom painted 2025
  • 30 hrs on 2KW generator
  • 300AH House battery bank new 2025
  • 450W of Solar
  • Raymarine ST600R Autopilot
  • Raymarine electronics
  • Furuno 1715 Radar
  • Volvo Penta D1-30s Stbd engine replaced in 2022 (10hrs), port engine serviced in 2022 (2500hrs)
  • Parasailor included (versatile downwind sail)
  • Hydraulic steering, which makes single-handed sailing a breeze!
  • 25kg Buegel Anchor (comparable to Rocna) with 50m of 3/8 chain

An untitled, unregistered AB tender with 9.8 Tohatsu outboard is included in the purchase.

This cruising-class vessel is a remarkable creation by brothers Francis and Roland Prout, who honed their skills in design and boat-building with small vessel construction and the well-known Shearwater class. The Prout brothers established their dominance in the catamaran cruising sector when they founded "Prout Catamarans" in 1975. Over the course of their operation, the company produced nearly 4,300 boats, including 658 units of the Escale 39 Series. Constructed in Essex, United Kingdom.

Absolutely THE ONLY company to use for buying or selling a catamaran! Our Broker Andrew Hodgdon, was excellent to work with, an experienced catamaran captain with extensive knowledge of sailing catamarans, the ins and outs of the construction, performance, systems, everything involved and life on board catamarans. All of which is invaluable in looking for the right boat for someone to buy or helping market your boat when selling. The Multihull Company is so connected in the catamaran world and used by so many catamaran sailors and searchers that we had an interested buyer before our boat was even listed and a completed sale 60 days after her first showing!!! Thanks Andrew and all of the Multihull team who worked diligently to make it happen so smoothly!

Chris Block was our broker. He was great. He went above and beyond what we thought we needed. His expertise helped us get our dream boat for way less than expected. I will use TMC and Chris Block in the future. Definitely recommend.

Chris Rundlett in Grenada was my buyers broker for a catamaran I purchased in Tortola.
The buying process was problematic with numerous mechanical issues needing attention. Throughout the process he was fantastic. I would highly recommend him if you’re looking to buy a boat in the Caribbean.
