This is a beautiful owner version of the celebrated Catana 471. The consummate blue water, performance cat. She has very high freeboard and bridge-deck clearance for comfortable, safe offshore work; dagger-boards for windward performance; carbon rig with stainless shrouds and forestay for reliability; a high-tech hull constructed of PVC foam core/vinyl-ester resin with carbon and kevlar reinforcements provides the ideal combination of stiffness, strength and light weight.
"4 TALES" is a two owner yacht that has never chartered. It spent most of its career in the dry climate of California and was recently moved to Georgia by its current owners. It has had very light use in the last three years and the owners have made some significant upgrades. Most notably, a Leisure Furl in-boom mainsail was installed in 2018 to facilitate sail handling. The headsail inventory includes two genoas, a screecher and two spinnakers (symmetric and asymmetric). The rod headstay was replaced in September 2020 and the two shrouds in March 2021. The trampoline was just replaced in January 2021 and the Mast has recently been painted.
This yacht features 110V and 12V systems and equipment. A large solar array and large alternators power the amenities on board including a large water-maker, washer/dryer, and new electronics throughout.
4 TALES is ready to go cruising to the Bahamas, Caribbean or further. She is US flagged and duty paid. A gorgeous cat that combines distinguished pedigree with true oceanic capability.
