Captain Hodgdon began sailing aboard his father’s Hobie Cat and maintained his passion through the years, leveraging his knowledge and experience to become a USCG licensed captain. Andrew spent over a decade working as a full-time captain, working his way up in the industry with positions ranging from sailing instructor to a delivery skipper to the private yacht captain of a Gunboat 57. During his career, Hodgdon sailed from his hometown waters of Cape Fear, NC to the Caribbean Sea, Mediterranean, Central and South America, the South Pacific Islands and beyond. Extensive offshore experience has given him first hand working knowledge of a wide variety of multihulls – from old Lagoons to brand new Balance Catamarans and almost everything in between!
Now, working as a yacht broker for The Multihull Company, Hodgdon has slowed down a bit and is focusing on sharing his knowledge and skillset to help pair sailors of all types and skill levels with the perfect boat for their needs.
