Guiding Light is cruising and charter ready and may be the very best example of a Lagoon 410 available today!  Bring your personal items and provisions and start cruising!  Her nearly new engines and sail drives have 1340 and 1343 hours respectively.

She has been lovingly cared for, maintained and upgraded by the same owner for the last fourteen years.  Guiding Light is hull #007.  She is very well equipped for long range cruising, live aboard or charter.

Guiding Light is self sufficient and meets its power needs using solar power and has heavy duty alternators to provide redundant charging for the house and starting batteries.  Additionally, there is an after market 2KW gasoline generator to provide redundant charging capacity.

The 4 Cabin, three head layout promotes comfort for owner use and charters alike.  A fourth head was converted to a stand up shower, to maximize comfort.  A four gallon hot water tank for the shower is heated exclusively by solar.  There is also a single fore peak storage area on port with a large hatch to accommodate bicycles. The starboard forepeak can be configured to offer a single berth and head.

Refrigeration:

An extra large top-loading freezer and large front loading refrigerator provide extraordinary refrigeration capacity.  Both of the compressors have been replaced recently. One large igloo marine cooler with cushion augments cold storage. A new Force 10 three burner stove and oven augments a well equipped galley to delight the chef.

Sails:

The fully battened 9.88 ounce Dacron main has five battens.  There is a furling 8.03 ounce Dacron jib with SPF protection.  Both sails were replaced in 2015, and are in excellent shape. The Parasail spinnaker, shown in the gallery, is in excellent condition as well. Raising the main is a breeze with two 18 volt wrenches to power the two 44 Lewmar winches and the Lewmar 48 winch.

Engines:  The engines are 29 HP Yanmar diesels and have 1340 and 1343 hours respectively.  The engines and the SD25 sail drives were new in 2018.

Range under power with both engines is 300 to 350 NM, that is increased to over 700 NM range using one engine. The engines consume 1/2 gallon per hour per side at 2500 RPM producing 6.5-7.5 knots. Consistently averages 7.5 to 8 knots under sail.

Electronics: One tablet with Navionics is used for navigation.  Raymarine sailing instruments include depth/speed, and wind.  An existing Raymarine autopilot helps with the steering and there is a new Raymarine EV-400 aboard and ready to be installed.  Watchmate AIS transceiver enhances safety. There are three ICOM VHF Marine radios, two handhelds and one fixed mount radio at the navigation station.  The navigation station has been beautifully redone.

Cruising Comfort:  A water maker keeps the freshwater tanks full. Solar provides 765 Watts of  power. The six lifeline AGM batteries were new in 2019 and provide 900 amp hours of 12V power.  A 1800 watt inverter supplies sufficient AC power, Gauges include a Fireboy propane monitor, and a Link 10 battery monitor.  There is a full set of linens and spares.  She is equipped with composting heads.

Tankage: 26 gallons of diesel per side, a 100 gallon water tank, three 10lb aluminum propane tanks.

Water Toys:   A 2014 12 FT Carib dingy w/ 25 HP four stroke, fuel injected Tohatsu (electric start kit included, but not installed). There are also 2 inflatable SUPs, a folding kayak, a towable tube and a sub-wing. There is an inflatable 6'x10' WOW mat and 8 sets of snorkel gear.  The fishing gear includes two trolling rods, a light casting rod, two pole spears, a lobster snare, and assorted lures, leaders and tools.

Maintenance and Upgrades:   There are many tools, engine spares, maintenance logs, binders with original documentation and manuals.  Since 2009,  the owner has replaced  the cockpit hardtop cover, sails, cargo nets, dinghy, all hatches with shades and screens added, all running rigging, solar panels, mattresses, compressors for the refrigerator and freezer, shower, toilets, new faucets in heads and galley, salon cushions, engines & sail drives, thru hulls, bilge pumps, woodwork, water maker, rudder arms, new windlass with wireless remote w/spare and more.

Manufacturer Provided Description

Conceived to meet the highest standards, the Lagoon 410 is innovative while maintaining the traditions of the Lagoon line from which it springs. Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prevost have optimized the Lagoon 410’s performance while providing two, three or four private bathrooms. The standard model includes four cabins and two large bathrooms. The vast galley – living area, which opens directly to the cockpit through a wide sliding door, maintains the characteristic Lagoon conviviality with a 360-degree vista. The cockpit, well protected by the roof, is the focal point for exterior activities. The port side directly accesses the sea, while the starboard-side table can seat up to ten. The placement of the helm station at the coach roof provides a wider view and, by freeing up the rear cockpit, provides more space. In the front, the transverse net provides a choice, secure location for communing with the sea and the dolphins.

Your team delivered on every mark. You’ve got an amazing broker in Mark Wattrus and I’m confident you will have continued success moving forward together. He was available 24/7 whenever I had questions. We had a great initial visit on the boat and his marketing plan and photos were superb

— Jimmy

I bought a yacht that I had never seen. I did this because I trusted my broker Andrew Holland. It was not an easy job for Andrew, as I am an experienced boat builder and owner of previous yachts, but work in West Africa. Imagine how hard it was to communicate what I was looking for. Andrew came up with exactly what I wanted. He dealt with time delays, all my questions at odd hours, and was there for the survey. He reported honestly and professionally. After buying the yacht, I arrived at the boat on a Sunday night, after dark, after travelling from West Africa to the Caribbean, and found it was better than expected. He never pulled punches and made me aware of shortfalls. I expected to spend my one month leave working on the boat, but actually spent less than one week, and was able to spend 3 weeks sailing – wonderful bonus.

Thank you Andrew for putting up with all my questions, all my worries and all my crazy out of the time zone concerns – you were totally professional, but also I know that if and when we meet up, it will be like a friend finally meeting. You are always welcome on Aseka.

Outstanding company with professional subject matter experts. If I were to buy or sell cruising sailboat, particularly a catamaran, Andrew would be my go to broker.

— JT

I have been sailing since I was a child and attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy. But when my wife and I began the process of purchasing an ocean cruising/racing catamaran, I realized that this is a world unto itself. Obviously, we needed to find someone knowledgeable to help us make an informed decision. More importantly, we needed someone honest and willing to put our interests before his or her own. I was lucky to work with Phil Berman at The Multihull Company. He repeatedly shunned the fast buck, choosing instead to work the long road to connect us with the “perfect boat”. I would be glad to recommend Phil and his company to anyone planning to purchase or sell a performance sailing machine.

— Eric Boutiette

Andrew Hodgdon was our broker when we bought our 2018 Lagoon 450F in Antigua in April 2922. He provided great service and was very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend Andrew and the Multihull Company.
