About

Transalatic Rage, less consumption (15l/hour all engines)

Song Saigon, named after the Vietnamese river, is a unique multihull reinforced aluminium motor yacht with a LOA of 24.05m (loadline length 22.58m). The yacht's builder is Saigon Shipyard Co. Ltd. from Vietnam, who delivered Song Saigon in 2008. This beautiful motor catamaran has a beam of 7.98m, a draft of 2.0m and a volume of 65 GT. The exterior design and naval architecture was done by Joubert -Nivelt Design with interior design by Attitude Design. Up to 9 guests are accommodated onboard the long range cruiser Song Saigon, and she also has accommodation for 2 crew members including the captain. The yacht has 2 aluminum hulls and an aluminum superstructure. She is powered by 2 Caterpillar C7 engines with 250hp each and low hours (about 2000), which give her a cruising speed of 8.0 knots and a top speed of 11.5 knots while keeping the consumption extremely low. This allows for a range of 5000+ nautical miles at a speed of 8.5 knots. The yacht carries 12.500 liters of fuel on board, and 6.000 liters of water and now includes a new watermaker. There are also 2 caterpillar generators with 24.3kW each and the main engines also have a large alternator each so gensets are not necessary when cruising.
The clever asymmetrical design offers a swim platform aft of the port side hull making it very easy to access the boat from the water at all times.

As soon as one boards the yacht one notices high quality teak decks throughout. The interior is also made with high quality wood floors and furnishings. The master stateroom is located on the main deck and offers a full beam and rear views through the many weatherproof windows. The salon includes an open plan galley, a dining table and the bridge. The area that divides the salon and the master stateroom can be kept open on both sides with sliding doors (or closed and air conditioned) and can be turned into a perfect lounge area in the shade or be used for entertaining guests with a cocktail party as it has also direct access to the flybridge and can also be closed off on a windy day. Both areas have a new Bose sound system. The flybridge area is very spacious given the beam of the boat, has a bar with stools, a dining area, sunbeds and features a crane and 2 cradles for a dinghy (included) and a jetski (not included)
Song Saigon was built according to class certification standards by Bureau Veritas. This certification can be renewed any time if needed for commercial purposes while all systems on board have been upgraded after an extensive refit.
Located in Barcelona, Song Saigon is currently for sale at an asking price of 1,500,000.

After more than 2 years of refit, this spectacular catamaran is now ready to cruise around the world.

The vessel has undergone the following repairs and improvements:

1) Refit of the engines and generators that have been disassembled (turbos and water pumps)
2) Remove the shafts and propellers.
3) performing antifouling and changing anodes.
4) Replacement of all water pipes on the boat
5) repair and replacement of the entire hydraulic system.
6) Review and repair of the entire Air Conditioning system
7) Replacement of all electronics with new electronics, CCTV
8) Replacement of all valves
9) Service and repair of all fire-fighting systems
10) Service and cleaning of all tanks on board the ship
11) Repair of all ship exhaust systems
12) Change of all the lighting of the boat LED inside and outside.

Your team delivered on every mark. You’ve got an amazing broker in Mark Wattrus and I’m confident you will have continued success moving forward together. He was available 24/7 whenever I had questions. We had a great initial visit on the boat and his marketing plan and photos were superb

I bought a yacht that I had never seen. I did this because I trusted my broker Andrew Holland. It was not an easy job for Andrew, as I am an experienced boat builder and owner of previous yachts, but work in West Africa. Imagine how hard it was to communicate what I was looking for. Andrew came up with exactly what I wanted. He dealt with time delays, all my questions at odd hours, and was there for the survey. He reported honestly and professionally. After buying the yacht, I arrived at the boat on a Sunday night, after dark, after travelling from West Africa to the Caribbean, and found it was better than expected. He never pulled punches and made me aware of shortfalls. I expected to spend my one month leave working on the boat, but actually spent less than one week, and was able to spend 3 weeks sailing – wonderful bonus.

Thank you Andrew for putting up with all my questions, all my worries and all my crazy out of the time zone concerns – you were totally professional, but also I know that if and when we meet up, it will be like a friend finally meeting. You are always welcome on Aseka.

Outstanding company with professional subject matter experts. If I were to buy or sell cruising sailboat, particularly a catamaran, Andrew would be my go to broker.

I have been sailing since I was a child and attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy. But when my wife and I began the process of purchasing an ocean cruising/racing catamaran, I realized that this is a world unto itself. Obviously, we needed to find someone knowledgeable to help us make an informed decision. More importantly, we needed someone honest and willing to put our interests before his or her own. I was lucky to work with Phil Berman at The Multihull Company. He repeatedly shunned the fast buck, choosing instead to work the long road to connect us with the “perfect boat”. I would be glad to recommend Phil and his company to anyone planning to purchase or sell a performance sailing machine.

Andrew Hodgdon was our broker when we bought our 2018 Lagoon 450F in Antigua in April 2922. He provided great service and was very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend Andrew and the Multihull Company.
