In 2020, Serendipity underwent an extensive refit at the Lauderdale Marine Center in Fort Lauderdale, which included new teak decks with flush hatches, fresh hull paint, and upgraded thrusters, all in excellent condition. The current owner has overhauled both engines, both watermakers, one generator and added a large solar array that services 2400 Ah of Lithium Iron Phosphate house batteries
