Designed by the esteemed GΓ©rard Danson and launched in 2002, SKYLARK is a meticulously maintained Outremer 55 S. Known for her reliable performance in blue waters, she has been the vessel of choice for her owners since January 2022.
Crafted for Comfort and Safety: SKYLARK features a three-cabin ownerβs layout, ensuring privacy and luxury. The cockpit, shielded by a sturdy hardtop, offers full protection against the elements, doubling as a safe and snug haven. The spacious saloon boasts a vast lounge and a well-appointed chart table. The galley is efficiently laid out, with deep fridges and ample storage, while the ownerβs suite includes an ensuite bathroom for added convenience. The starboard houses two additional cabins with central access to the head and toilet.
Exceptional Performance: Under sail, SKYLARK consistently achieves an average speed of 10 knots, combining speed with unmatched stability. Her journey from Florida to New Zealand from February 2023 to November 2024 is a testament to her capabilities and the ultimate sailing lifestyle she offers.
Recent Refits and Upgrades:
2022/23: Complete overhaul including a new ProFurl 52 for the jib, Raymarine Axiom cockpit display, upgraded DC power system, custom lithium batteries, refurbished watermaker, and solar charging system with Victron Power Management. Additional enhancements include mast base and gel coat repairs, engine overhauls, and new rudder bearings.
2024: New salon cushions, main bulkhead repairs, and a comprehensive rigging check.
A Fond Farewell: The current owners, a family of four, express their deep connection to SKYLARK and their decision to sell due to personal commitments back in the United States.
