Leopard 50 50ft

US $1,329,000

Whangarei, NZ

The Leopard 50 was designed to continue the evolution of one of the best-selling Leopard Catamarans of all time, the award-winning Leopard 48. The Leopard 50 has the ideal layout for anyone looking to travel offshore or cruise locally with family and friends. Leopard 50s have crossed Oceans with safety, security and speed. This particular 50 has been set up to safely and comfortably allow the knowledgeable owner and his young family to cruise the world.

Designed as a modern blue water lifestyle Passagemaker, the forward cockpit door on the 50 is a game changer. Great for private lounging at dock or at anchor, the forward cockpit provides easy (safe) access to the foredeck and provides ventilation and livability to the Saloon area not possible on other cats. The forward cockpit is the ideal location to spend time on watch, underway and out of the sun wind and rain.

True to the 50s offshore cruising capabilities all sailing lines lead to easily accessible winches centrally located at the helm station. The primary winches are all electric and operated by footswitches. The boat is easily sailed by a couple and managed by one person on watch.

AQUAFOX features the preferred 4 cabin layout with 4 heads

The 4 cabin 4 head layout offers spacious staterooms with large double beds, excllent lighting and ventilation. Each cabin includes it’s own head compartment w/ shower, vanity, sink and excellent storage.

The aft end of the saloon opens wide, with sliding doors. In the cockpit, there’s a large table and U-shaped couch to port, and a cushioned settee opposite beneath the helm station.

A second forward-facing dining area is just inside the saloon to port. The table folds and can be lowered for cocktails, or it can open wide to accommodate a dinner crowd. A navigation desk is forward to port, just ahead of the companionway leading to the cabins below. Stainless handrails by the stairs have add a clean look, and the dark nonskid steps have stainless nosing, which makes them quite visible.

The galley takes up much of the starboard side of the bridgedeck. A U-shaped counter and sink, with refrigeration under, look out onto the forward cockpit, cushioned lounging area and trampolines between the hulls. Just aft of the forward starboard companionway sits a second counter area with stove and oven, and two more drawers of refrigeration/freezer space.

The galley is on “deck” level so no stairs or obstacles between the galley and the dining area inside or out. Easy to prepare and serve meals underway or at anchor.

Your team delivered on every mark. You’ve got an amazing broker in Mark Wattrus and I’m confident you will have continued success moving forward together. He was available 24/7 whenever I had questions. We had a great initial visit on the boat and his marketing plan and photos were superb

— Jimmy

I bought a yacht that I had never seen. I did this because I trusted my broker Andrew Holland. It was not an easy job for Andrew, as I am an experienced boat builder and owner of previous yachts, but work in West Africa. Imagine how hard it was to communicate what I was looking for. Andrew came up with exactly what I wanted. He dealt with time delays, all my questions at odd hours, and was there for the survey. He reported honestly and professionally. After buying the yacht, I arrived at the boat on a Sunday night, after dark, after travelling from West Africa to the Caribbean, and found it was better than expected. He never pulled punches and made me aware of shortfalls. I expected to spend my one month leave working on the boat, but actually spent less than one week, and was able to spend 3 weeks sailing – wonderful bonus.

Thank you Andrew for putting up with all my questions, all my worries and all my crazy out of the time zone concerns – you were totally professional, but also I know that if and when we meet up, it will be like a friend finally meeting. You are always welcome on Aseka.

Outstanding company with professional subject matter experts. If I were to buy or sell cruising sailboat, particularly a catamaran, Andrew would be my go to broker.

— JT

I have been sailing since I was a child and attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy. But when my wife and I began the process of purchasing an ocean cruising/racing catamaran, I realized that this is a world unto itself. Obviously, we needed to find someone knowledgeable to help us make an informed decision. More importantly, we needed someone honest and willing to put our interests before his or her own. I was lucky to work with Phil Berman at The Multihull Company. He repeatedly shunned the fast buck, choosing instead to work the long road to connect us with the “perfect boat”. I would be glad to recommend Phil and his company to anyone planning to purchase or sell a performance sailing machine.

— Eric Boutiette

Andrew Hodgdon was our broker when we bought our 2018 Lagoon 450F in Antigua in April 2922. He provided great service and was very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend Andrew and the Multihull Company.
