Mousetrap was designed to sail anywhere. And sail she has. In fact, she’s been just about everywhere. Fast and powerful, she’s crossed the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Agile and shallow-drafted, she’s cruised remote islands and shallow bays. And, with supreme stability, volume and a wide-open layout, made possible by her innovative carbon fibre superstructure, she’s played host to a multitude of family adventures. Combining the comfort and livability of a catamaran with the poise and power of a sailing yacht, Mousetrap truly is one-of-a-kind.
But Mousetrap offers more than sailing. She offers a lifestyle never experienced before. From deep sea fishing to diving and wildlife encounters, Mousetrap offers access to some of the most remote and breathtaking parts of the world.
Listed for sale for the first time after a decade of cruising the world with a dedicated and attentive owner, Mousetrap has had no expense spared on her maintenance. And, with new engines, generators and sails, and all documentation up-to-date, she’s ready to do it all again with someone new.

Thanks to Mousetrap’s innovative design, with the mast held up by a carbon fibre arch, the interior has no posts or bulkheads, creating a vast, airy space with breathtaking 180-degree ocean views. With access to the sea at every angle, the modern, versatile salon is the social hub of the yacht, functioning simultaneously as a relaxation, dining or working area, with the help of state-of-the-art AV equipment, a bar and cosy recessed lighting. Mousetrap is fully equipped with the latest Starlink internet connectivity and 5G, ensuring you stay connected even while sailing the most remote locations.

Mousetrap accommodates eight guests in four comfortable cabins. The owner’s cabin, accessed via its own staircase for maximum privacy, benefits from a VIP Queensized bed and ensuite shower room with his and hers sinks. There are two additional queen cabins in the port side hull, both with ensuite shower rooms and one with an additional pullman bed. The final guest cabin, also with a queen bed and ensuite shower room, is located in the starboard hull. Each of the cabins has a flatscreen TV with an integrated infotainment system.

Mousetrap boasts expansive deck spaces that elegantly envelop the main social area, facilitating effortless movement throughout the yacht. Towards the stern, a sheltered lounging space offers seamless indoor/outdoor living, with a dining table, large sofas, and a drop down projector for home cinema nights, while the bow offers easy access to the sea via a concealed ladder, as well as a secluded 6-person Jacuzzi. Set towards the aft of the yacht, the sun deck offers further opportunities for dining and relaxation, with plenty of room for the entire complement of guests.

With a sail plan inspired from the multihull racing world, hydraulic winches and a very large gennaker, Mousetrap can cruise through the heaviest weather with ease. She boasts force-feedback steering technology and innovative screens built into the office area that show the sail loads, making the sailing experience reliable and enjoyable in equal measure. During her decade of cruising the world, Mousetrap has had no expense spared on her maintenance and is sold with new engines generators and sails. Moreover, with her annual maintenance program having been painstakingly perfected and documented by her owner and crew, Mousetrap promises reliable, no-stress ownership for any buyer.
Mousetrap can accommodate six professional crew in four crew cabins, with an ergonomic design that allows for top tier service without disturbing guests’ sociability. The professional galley features a wine fridge and steam oven, as well as plenty of provision storage for trips off-the-beaten-track. Your team delivered on every mark. You’ve got an amazing broker in Mark Wattrus and I’m confident you will have continued success moving forward together. He was available 24/7 whenever I had questions. We had a great initial visit on the boat and his marketing plan and photos were superb

— Jimmy

I bought a yacht that I had never seen. I did this because I trusted my broker Andrew Holland. It was not an easy job for Andrew, as I am an experienced boat builder and owner of previous yachts, but work in West Africa. Imagine how hard it was to communicate what I was looking for. Andrew came up with exactly what I wanted. He dealt with time delays, all my questions at odd hours, and was there for the survey. He reported honestly and professionally. After buying the yacht, I arrived at the boat on a Sunday night, after dark, after travelling from West Africa to the Caribbean, and found it was better than expected. He never pulled punches and made me aware of shortfalls. I expected to spend my one month leave working on the boat, but actually spent less than one week, and was able to spend 3 weeks sailing – wonderful bonus.

Thank you Andrew for putting up with all my questions, all my worries and all my crazy out of the time zone concerns – you were totally professional, but also I know that if and when we meet up, it will be like a friend finally meeting. You are always welcome on Aseka.

Outstanding company with professional subject matter experts. If I were to buy or sell cruising sailboat, particularly a catamaran, Andrew would be my go to broker.

— JT

I have been sailing since I was a child and attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy. But when my wife and I began the process of purchasing an ocean cruising/racing catamaran, I realized that this is a world unto itself. Obviously, we needed to find someone knowledgeable to help us make an informed decision. More importantly, we needed someone honest and willing to put our interests before his or her own. I was lucky to work with Phil Berman at The Multihull Company. He repeatedly shunned the fast buck, choosing instead to work the long road to connect us with the “perfect boat”. I would be glad to recommend Phil and his company to anyone planning to purchase or sell a performance sailing machine.

— Eric Boutiette

Andrew Hodgdon was our broker when we bought our 2018 Lagoon 450F in Antigua in April 2922. He provided great service and was very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend Andrew and the Multihull Company.
