2018 ITA catamarans 14.99 for sale; located in Bristol, RI.
Designed by the multiple award-winning naval architect Francois Perus, the ITA 14.99 was designed with wave-piercing reverse sheer bows, semi-planing hulls, minimal hull rocker, and daggerboards. The deck design has dual aft helms, clean decks void of lines with an innovative sail control system safely managed from the cockpit and from helm.
Winner of 2020 Multihull Boat of The Year by Voile Magazine.
Construction consists of a total of 3 molds laminated with E-glass/carbon fiber w/Core Cell Sans foam core, and epoxy resin infusion post cured including primary bulkheads while still in the mold. The deck is laminated using the same process as the hulls.
Carbon fiber in high load areas including primary and secondary bulkheads, bilges, chainplates, daggerboard casings, and longitudinal stringers. Carbon composite longeron/bowsprit and forward crossbeam.
All hull and deck fittings are in solid laminate to prevent moisture penetrating the foam core. For added safety there are several watertight bulkheads and crash boxes.
The ITA Catamaran shipyard is located in Fano, Italy that is often referred to as the Silicon Valley of the Italian yacht building industry where there is a deep pool of passionate craftsmen normally with decades of experience. To date there have been 9 ITA 14.99 launched. NANOMOLE is hull #1 and Malta flagged (EU VAT paid).
