Designed by Kurt Hughes and built by Shaw Boat Works, this custom designed Hughes 45 is a FAST, High Performance Cruising Catamaran. Her daggerboards make for great up-wind work, and excellent maneuverability. Capricorn Cat is easily sailed and cruised by a couple, and cruising up to 8 kts is a snap. She is a sleek, sexy machine that has been well-maintained and continually upgraded. 

Last haulout and bottom paint was done in 2021. A 2017 survey is available upon request.

4 cabins, 2 heads. Two forward berths are Queens; width x 8’L. Two rear berths are standard double width x 7’L. One head in each hull. Port side has work bench with lots of tools and storage. Starboard side has storage and space for a washer/dryer unit.

Wonderful, big galley-up layout keeps the cook up where the views are great, right in the middle of all the activities and conversations. LOTS of counter-top area and cabinet space, a big freezer and huge refrigerator (both with new compressors), counter-top-microwave, 3 burner/w oven propane stove, and double S/S. sink with two filters that make for safe and sweet drinking water. The table seats 7-9 guests
