Taka'oa | 2007 Dolphin 460

Saint Augustine, FL, US

About

"Taka'oa" is a stellar example of the renowned Dolphin 460 performance cruising catamaran. She features an Owner's Version layout with 3 cabins and 2 heads with an extra pilot berth to port. Launched in 2007, Taka'oa has sailed extensively all over the world including a full circumnavigation. She is a tried and true bluewater voyager that's always been cared for by dedicated owners. With her daggerboards she sails to windward like a dream and can access shallow anchorages and passages that are inaccessible to most boats of her size. Taka'oa is a special model of the Dolphin 460 that sports the more desirable angular salon couch with folding table and an owner suite to Starboard. She has all the gear necessary for serious liveaboard voyaging and several recent improvements to make her even more comfortable underway or at anchor.

The Dolphin brand has a cult following in the cruising community that has been earned from their reputation as exceptionally well-built and dependable performance cats. Defining features include daggerboards, composite construction, excellent bridge deck clearance, and a high level of interior fit and finish. These boats are sporty and fun to sail but they also incorporate a functional layout and all the amenities for comfortable family life aboard. You would be hard pressed to find a comparable performance catamaran as well equipped at this price point.

Taka'oa underwent an extensive refit in 2023/2024 to ensure she was prepared to continue world voyaging. She is likely the best equipped and most modern Dolphin on the water. Some of her equipment highlights include:

  • North Sails 3Di Endurance Mainsail and Genoa
  • 1600ah Renogy Lithium House Battery Bank - 12V
  • Custom Sundeck and Solar Arch
  • 2440 Watts of Solar
  • Air Conditioning / Heating
  • Dishwasher
  • Starlink Satellite Highspeed Internet

Takao'a is in turn key condition and ready to continue the adventure! She is US Import Duty Paid and available for showings by appointment in beautiful St Augustine, FL.

I wanted to acknowledge how wonderful it was to work with Josie Tucci. Having her represent us as a buyer’s broker was such a breath of fresh air. She was extremely ethical every step of the way and her knowledge was expansive. She didn’t just want to get the sale/commission, she wanted to make sure we knew exactly what we were taking on and supported us in getting full transparency from the seller. I cannot recommend her enough!
