Currently lying in Colon, at the distinguished, Shelter Bay Marina, is this lovely owner cared for BroadBlue 38. She is truly turn key, and available for you t fly down and check her out. The decision to sell came only recently when the owners came upon unexpected circumstances.
She has been worked on to upgrade and was prepared for an eventual Pacific crossing, including a brand new haul out, bottom paint, anodes and engine service. There is no maintenance backlog, the fuel tanks are full and ready to cruise anywhere.
Having been in UK from 2002- 2017, then in Germany until 2021, she has no ( or very very little) tropical sun damage. Since 2021, the current owners have been cruising her.

Rare Breed is an owners version Broadblue 38, whose first owner was actually employed by Prout and was the designer of this model, which was built to the highest EU oceangoing standard and with all possible options. ( Prout was sub sequentially bought out by BroadBlue Catamarans) Having been fitted out in the UK, the boat is designed for ease of handling and is focused on sailing in safety and comfort.
She was meticulously maintained by her first owner and this owner has continued that maintenance régime . They use her for long distance cruising and their home since 2021. She is completely energy self sufficient with her solar panels and lithium batteries, while running two refrigeration units, Starlink and other electrical consummates 24 x 7 without any problems.
This owners version has many additions not normally found in regular cruising catamarans, and her large salon has a dining area which sits up to 8 people, but also convers to a lounge with a daybed for sleeping while on passage. It also has a easy navigation desk with fantastic all- around view of the outside.
