Why List Your Multihull with Us?

The Multihull Company is the best in the business when it comes to selling its listings.  For the past ten years its market share has grown dramatically year after year, making it today the global leader in international multihull sales.  Both our buyers and sellers come from around the world because of our expertise in closing sales no matter where in the world they occur.  This international expertise is something that distinguishes The Multihull Company from its competitors.

Unlike so many of our smaller competitors, many of whom do nothing more than post a boat on a yacht search website and walk away, or who may have connections in only one particular region of the world, The Multihull Company has 24 offices in 15 countries. In fact, there are very few sailing centers in the world where  The Multihull Company does not have either an office, repair facility, charter base or affiliate where we can assist our clients.

Due to our global network, we are able to inspect, list and manage the survey and/or repair of a multihull almost anywhere in the world.  Our staff includes brokers and closing agents fluent in French, German and Spanish, so we can put deals together across almost any cultural border.  Together with our international escrow accounts, we can manage the sale and closing of yachts in Euros, Canadian dollars, Pounds, Reais and more.

Because of these advantages, The Multihull Company can employ global marketing efforts to selling your yacht.  These efforts include a wide range of print advertising, web marketing and boat show participation.  Our bright red tent at the US Sailboat Shows is well known by American sailors for all of the right reasons.  But those same sailors shouldn't be surprised to see The Multihull Company at many of the European and Australian boat shows.  Wherever there are multihull buyers and sellers, The Multihull Company can be found.

Our website is currently the world's most popular website on multihulls.  The Multihull Company site acts as a common meeting place where buyers and sellers of multihulls spend more time per visit than any other website dedicated to multihulls.  We consistently rank at the top of search services like Google and Yahoo - not because we pay for it - but because the traffic of our website earns us these high rankings.

Often overlooked by sellers is that a great many yacht transactions fall apart due to the complexity of the sales process.  Finding a buyer turns out to be only a first step in the sale of any multihull.  Each and every year we are called upon by "For Sale By Owner" sellers to rescue them from a transaction that is falling apart.  From producing contracts and managing documentation to organizing a survey, escrowing deposits, closing and delivery, there is a lot of work involved in a successful yacht sale.  It takes experience to avoid the many pitfalls that often arise.  That is why every Multihull Company broker is personally apprenticed by Phillip Berman and fully trained in the art and science of yacht brokering.  It is also why every broker at The Multihull Company is obligated to abide by the rules and ethics of the Yacht Brokers Association of America, and licensed and bonded, where required, in the states where they operate.

Often times, buyers elect to purchase a used catamaran to place into charter.  Not only does The Multihull Company have experience in luxury crewed charter, but through its partnership with Dream Yacht Charter the firm places yachts into charter management in Tortola, St. Martin, Guadeloupe and Martinique in the Caribbean.  In Europe, we place yachts into charter in France, Greece, Croatia and Turkey.  We also place yachts into charter in Tahiti, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, the Seychelles and Mauritius.  The Multihull Company's "Try Before You Buy" program enables clients to test sail Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot, Catana and Privilege catamarans at Dream Yacht Charter bases around the world.

All of the above facts clearly set us apart from our smaller competitor.  But still, there's more: passion.  The Multihull Company was founded because of a love of sailing.  The world champion sailor who founded the company is still its CEO today.  Phillip Berman has cruised the Seven Seas on multihulls for over 35 years.

Because of this, The Multihull Company does not just sell "anything that floats".  It sells what its founder and its sales staff know and love: catamarans and trimarans.  The company's dynamic growth over the past decade is a testament to the passion and professionalism, commitment to ethics and plain dealing of everyone on The Multihull Company team.

Join the growing community of satisfied customers around the globe.  If you are buying or selling a catamaran or trimaran, The Multihull Company will get the job done with passion and integrity.  And that's a promise.
