Dolphin 460 hulls are hand laid, vacuum-bagged, with vinyl ester resin and Divinicell foam coring. The bottom of each hull is solid fiberglass so you can beach her. Prior to commissioning the underwater portion of the hulls is given an epoxy barrier coat to ward off osmosis. Each hull contains two water-tight bulkheads and each daggerboard has a crash box to prevent water incursion in the event of a hard grounding. The sail drives are protected by sacrificial mini skegs. Only the finest fittings are used throughout, complying either with ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) standards for the U.S. version, or CE standards for the European version |
