This Loc Crowther designed Catana 48S is one of the best pure sailing catamarans on the market. Her long slender hulls (even longer than other 48Ss due to her 1' transom extensions) and tall rig have allowed her to sail in excess of 20 knots. She was refit in 2004 for an intended circumnavigation with new 47 hp Yanmars and saildrives replacing the original 27 hp engines. Yanmar engines have only 1000 hours and drive her up to 12 knots with an 8.5 knot cruise speed, and a single engine cruise of 6 knots with 15 mile per gallon capabilities.
Her refit included a complete and very

"Big Chill" is an extremely spacious and fast catamaran. Like most of the Nautitech 475's she spent her first five years of life in crewed charter in the French Islands of the Caribbean. Her current owner, an American, purchased her in 2000 and then upgraded her and maintained her well for the past five years. Each Winter he has operated her in a successful day charter business in St. John's and has also done some term charter work. The boat can be sold with the business. For the most part, "Big Chill" has spent the summer months on the hard in Puerto Rico and the owner operates her only in th

Launched in December 2001 “Ka Pai” is a 48’ luxury offshore catamaran built of modern composites. Equipped with dagger boards and with a gennaker in the sail inventory, this catamaran is a sparkling performer on all points of sail with the typical catamaran stability that leaves mono-hull sailors…. impressed. Under the power of twin 52hp engines the vessel has stunning maneuverability and up to 12 knots of boat speed – big advantages when negotiating a crowded harbor or making miles during the overnight calms found close to large land masses.

White Magic is a coveted owner version Catana 471, with less than 800 hours on her upgraded 60 horse power engines. In other words, she has been lightly used and is therefore in excellent condition and ready to sail virtually anywhere in the world. Like most Catana's she has been outfitted for the serious voyager - Raymarine color chartplotter, ICOM single side band radio, Spectra watermaker, four large solar panels, liferaft, etc. During the past year she got a new trampoline, a new bottom job, a new RIB dinghy and outboard, a new bowsprit and screecher, and a variety of other things. La Vie en Rose is currently lying a short distance from our corporate offices in Philadelphia. She is easily seen by flying in to Philadelphia or Newark and we will gladly pick you up for a showing of this fine Catana 471. I have known this Catana for some time as her owner sailed her extensively in the Caribbean and kept her docked in nearby Annapolis for some time.
La Vie en Rose is in fine shape and the owner of the boat is very proud to say that, during her sea trials in France, she hit 22.4 knots.

I recently viewed this pristine, owner version Lagoon 470 built at CNB (Chantier Naval de Bordeaux), world reknown for its maxi-yachts and the larger cats in the Lagoon line. A very exacting and experienced owner (his 5th yacht) called on a specialized contractor to fit a customized electrical system and electronics. Two independent Mastervolt chargers, Mastervolt inverter, Mastervolt alternator regulators - take a moment to review the state of the art electrical spec worthy of a 100 foot power yacht. This owner version Catana 471 is spectacular in every department. After completing a 3-year circumnavigation with an owner-family and full time crew, she has undergone a comprehensive refit lasting several months. Mainsail and genoa, running rigging and canvas (bimini curtains and lazy bag) have been replaced and every system from the bottom (saildrives, rudders, engines, generator, pumps) to the top (standing rigging, furlers, antennae) has been serviced and overhauled in detail by her crew and specialized professionals.

I sold her to her current over nearly five years ago and he has enjoyed the heck out of her, sailing her every Winter for extended periods in the Carribean. "Daedalus" is a lovely, well-cared for Catamaran. She has been in crewed charter from time to time, but was not used nearly as much as a bare boat - and certainly cared for much better than a bare boater. Her current owner is a custom home builder who has been swamped with work and cannot use her enough.
The Engines the Genset have been recently replaced. The batteries, dinghy, anchor chain, and Bimini tops were purchased a just a f

Lorien is a rare "Family Version" Catana 471. She was sold new to a family in 2002 and they sailed her extensively in the Caribbean and South Pacific. She was later owned for a brief time by a shipwright who sailed her in Mexico, and is currently owned by a Canadian couple voyaging in the Caribbean. She has never been in charter as her low engine hours clearly reflect.

This Catana 471 owner version was bought new by her American owner, and he sailed her each year about 5 or 6 months, then placed her on the hard. She spent her first years in the Caribbean and the last few seasons in the Med. She has been well cared for since day one, is cruise equipped, and has low engine hours. She is lying in the South of France, and can be shown by appointment through our French agent. This is a beautiful owner version of the celebrated Catana 471. I have known this Catana for some time as her current owner bought her in New York in the Summer of 2007 and sailed her through the South Pacific where she now awaits a new owner for further adventures. This is the consummate blue water performance cat: very high freeboard and bridgedeck clearance for comfortable, safe offshore work; daggerboards for windward performance; carbon rig with stainless shrouds and forestay for reliability; a high-tech hull constructed
