This cat was custom designed by a professional engineer for coastal cruising. In many ways hers was a very forward thinking design. She sports daggerboards, kickup rudders, a rotating mast, and a self tacking jib. She also has 6' 6" hearoom and an oversized queen master berth and what is really an owner's hull. So performance and headroom in a small package with only 18" of draft with boards and rudders up.
She accomplishes all of this by having easily driven hulls joined by a hull-to-hull bridgedeck that spans her entire beam. Her bridgedeck has a sitting height salon to port and a huge master bed to starboard. To starboard she is an owner's suite with amidship cabinetry and head and shower forward. On port she has a galley and then guest bunk. Her hull-to-hull layout gives her an expansive cockpit with hull entries at either side. Her spacious and secure cockpit features waist high enclosure, dual helms, and sail controls led aft. Her dual retractable daggerboards and kickup rudders give her weatherly abilities and the shallow draft necessary to enjoy secluded anchorages. Her sail plan provides for shorthanded sailing. The boat is easily driven by her fully-battened main on a 40' rotating aluminum wing mast, self tacking jib, and asymmetrical spinnaker. Her curvaceous bridgedeck channels wind into her main instead of along the hulls and allows for a broad curved jib traveler. Twin Yamaha high thrust long-shaft 9.9 retractable 4-strokes provide for quiet and economical motoring.
