Looping catamarans are known for their seakeeping qualities and their excellent ergonomics. Patrick Luscher designed them to be simple, strong, light and fast while taking excellent care of a bluewater crew. Hulls are long and slender. Bridgedeck clearance is superb. Weight is intelligently centered. The living environment is practical, comfortable, and elegant. In fact, most Looping owners have graduated from production catamarans to a custom Looping because of the excellent balance between performance and liveability. This catamaran will turn in very high daily averages and feel good doing it. She is brilliantly thought out, expertly constructed, and outfitted to sail the Pacific, the Caribbean, or around the world. She will be your turn-key home on the ocean. Even a solo sailor can handle her easily and experienced sailors will appreciate her toughness, lightness, and performance characteristics. If you are ready to go now, NEOS is a catamaran you should not miss!

Layout & Accommodations | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The port hull is dedicated to the master suite with queen-size berth, closets, sink/shower and toilet area. There are two double berths in the starboard hull, separated by a head and closets amidships. The bridgedeck has a luxurious salon and spacious galley. The galley is a chef’s dream (and the envy of all cruisers who come aboard); pantry space, plenty of counter space and an oven that accepts a full size cookie sheet and has a full four burner stovetop. There are two forward crew compartments accessible from the deck currently being employed as a workshop and storage space. Speaking of storage, there are three forward lockers on the front deck for storage and ten compartments in the cockpit. The expansive cockpit can seat up to 20 guests. NEOS has plenty of room and 6'4"+ headroom too. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Galley Equipment | |
| The galley is to starboard on the bridgedeck. It is u-shaped for efficient and secure meal preparation underway. The u-shape also creates a very convivial galley that interfaces well with the salon and the cockpit while keeping foot traffic out of the galley. | |

| Design and Construction | |
| HULLS: The hulls are built strip planked red cedar. The hull layup is double diagonal with longitudinals inside and outside cold molded with epoxy resin and glass. The hull design is unique with no bilges. Instead she is built with foam under the floors to the hull (No bilge odors, squeaky floors or maintenance.) BULKHEADS: There is a forward collision bulkhead on both hulls. The second full bulkhead aft is also sealed from the rest of the hull. The engine room bulkhead is sealed from the hulls. These bulkheads provide watertight integrity in the event of hull failure from a collision, etc. Plywood ring frames, secondary bulkheads, and cabinet work bonded to the hulls complete the structure. CROSSBEAM: The main beam is red cedar wrapped with carbon fiber and with a carbon fiber strut bonded to deck and hull. KEELS: Keels are formed of plywood saturated in epoxy, foam filled and fiberglass sheathed to the hull with no keel bolts. STEERING: Foam cored fiberglass rudders on alloy shafts. Steering uses a single wheel with roller chain and low stretch rope cable to carbon/fiberglass tie rod. The autopilot is connected to the starboard tiller arm, thereby providing a redundant system. A manual carbon fiber tiller arm is also on board and fits through a closed cover on the transom steps in an emergency. |
