Lagoon 440 - “Out N Aboat ”

This Lagoon 440 has seen some hard use, but a recent survey and an inspection we made of her show no signs of any structural problems. She needs some fiberglass work on her decks and hulls, her engines appear to need valve work, she needs new sails, and her veneers in her main salon are chipped and need to be resurfaced. The pictures you find here are recent, taken just a few weeks ago. Serious buyers will be sent a condition report that we took - not a survey - and we can also provide a copy of a professional survey report that was recently conducted.

This yacht really needs to be sold to a fixer upper buyer, someone who is handy and has the time to bring her back to form. It is not a boat for someone to buy and turn over to a shipyard for a total refit in our view. We believe it would cost at least $100,000 for a shipyard to bring her back to form.

The seller prefers to sell the boat "as is, where is" at the Spice Island shipyard in Grenada. The boat is not currently ready to be put in the water for a sea trial as she has no sails, and her engines will likley need valves and service, etc. Buyers of course are always free to pay for another survey, it is simply that the boat is not ready to be launched for those who wish to "test the engines" and sail her. She must be surveyed and accepted "on the hard."
