Like her literary namesake, Anais is sophisticated, spirited, sociable, and sleek. Her interior is warm and bright. Her layout is accommodating. And she takes to the wind with a certain vivacity.
Anais was one of 51 Lagoon 42s built by Tillotson-Pearson (TPI of J-boat fame) in Rhode Island. She was constructed using their successful SCRIMP method (Seemann Composites Resin Infusion Molding Process) and has been regularly maintained since. Recent upgrades include rebuild of the starboard engine, updated electronics with XM weather, 2006 dingy, 2006 davits, 2003 trampolines, and interior additions such as Corian countertops and an ESPAR forced air heater.
Anais is an excellent candidate for an exploration of the Inside Passage or a voyage South. She represents an opportunity to move into a fully outfitted cruising catamaran at a fraction of new boat costs.
